I ordered the square buckets. I dont use them anymore. The tops suck. I went back to round ones.

what do you use for root rot if you have gone through that? H2o2?

I cleaned the one bucket then I changed water and sealed the place where the light was getting in. Seems to have solved the problem. But, I am new to the bucket thing and there most likely is someone better versed than I. Peace

How about a grow light? . I'm sure you have that worked out. You will find the missing parts as you get up and going. Seems like you have the basics.

Would a 2 gallon bucket with 3.75-5" pots be too limiting on the roots for a LST/SCROG in a bucket? The 5 gallon buckets are a little tall and someone I know is limited in total height. They were looking for a total height at harvest of approximately 4 to 4.5ft (3 to 3.5ft really since the 2 gal buckets are 10in high).

I dont know the answer. I have never tried less then 5-gallons

Another question for you. It seems the drain placement will leave a little left in the bucket after draining. Does this matter when changing out water?

ETA:I suppose the remaining solution at the time of water change would be diluted enough that it wouldn't affect the new mix? Or do you continuously "top off" on nutes throughout to maintain a consistent ppm?

so with the pump you have u could run how many buckets say if you ran the air in series. and if you were to run around nine buckets do u have a recommendation for a pump to use? i find this concept interesting because moving the buckets around is much easier than moving around plants in a big ebb and flow.

I can never drain 100% of my buckets. Does not seem to matter much.

I run two stones per bucket. Hook one stone per outlet on your pump. If your pump has 4 outlets, then it will run two buckets just fine.
