i would have, but there were necessities to consider. food, gas, shelter, and drink namely. i made off with a cool 900, but 700 went to a deposit on a sweet ass apartment. i now have 3 dollars in my pocket and 130 bucks left from my first check. i landed a 3rd shift receiving job at meijers, its actually a pretty sweet job. i lost my internet for a couple weeks there, and had my phone cut. theres an african american family that going to be renting out my parents house, leaving me with nowhere to stay. my mom has some mild senility goin on and she lost her job as a teacher, and my old man cant keep a job. and we havent made payments on the house since god knows when. if that werent the case i would have kept it all. it was pretty phenomenal. im looking for the recirculating icmag link right now. im gonna set one of em up in my new apartment

Hey rumple, first time grower here, and I've just got to ask - how much of the yeast/sugar/water mix did you use per what sized room? I have got access to live yeast in brick-sizes, and i'm considering applying it to a 12sq/ft grow area (2x6ft) SCROG. I'm assuming other people havent exactly used this quantity of yeast before, and it does perform better considering it is live and active.

So i'm more or less curious what ratio you used and what scale you applied it to. Sorry if i'm beating a dead horse here

Many respects,
UltraSupersonic

II0 II IvI II0 : I hear advanced nutes are the only way to go from a whole bunch of people. check out www.discountadvancednutrients.com to price them out compared to others. Rumple uses GH Flora and a lot of people also swear by that one too.

I am not a big fan of home-brew CO2 (yeast and sugar). I feel it does more for the grower then the plants. I have tested it and it hardly works according to my CO2 meter. I don't think it will harm anything (other then your nose). Lots of fresh air will do the trick.

I use General Hydroponics nutrients. Not because it's the best, but because it's simple. Advanced Nutrients formulates for marijuana. I have read lots of great things about them. You have to test for your grow and make up your mind.

More air the better is what I say. I love tons of bubbles. More airstones will only do good things. I wish I could redo the build part of this thread. I would leave out the airstone PVC thing. A few 3" disks is what I settled on.

The sight tube is not used to take samples. I have added hose clamps to it (not in the build as well). Open the drain into a cup and use that as a sample.

I should thank all of you who take the time to read this thread and ask questions. You guys are the ones making it worthwhile. I will answer questions as long as good folks want to hear what i have to say. It is the highlight of my day.
R.

So lets do the shopping first:

Only clean roots and water here. Not even a hint of pond scum.
(photo collection deleted)

Well thats it. Go grow some pakalolo
Peace, Rumpleforeskin.

I can turn you into some what of an expert in DWC growing in less then a few hours.

Step one: Read every post in this thread.

After you are done, your eyes might be a bit tired, but you will know how to use them buckets. It is the best way.

Check back in and let us help you with some of the details.
Peace, R.

hey rumple,

is a res bucket absolutely needed for only one plant? or could you get by with only the bucket the plants in?

and about how much micro and bloom are used during a grow with only one plant? would 32oz be enough?

You can only edit your post up to 30 days or something. I wish I could go back and redo the whole thing.

You don't need a reservoir. Single buckets work just fine.

32oz will be enough to grow 3 plants of more. You should get it by the gallon so it will never be an issue.
