Even the one it came with won't effect PPMs (very basic filter)

I don't want a filter that will effect my PPM at all. I just want it to sift out the crap. I had to get some real basic filters to keep it from messing with my nutrient solution. Good thing they are real cheap. I tossed the one it came with (will use it in my RO system later).

If you can find the one that does not have a clear housing, buy it. I had to tape my filter housing to keep the light out.

Like the pilot holes, where do they go?

The pilot holes are to help you with the placement of the fill and drain.


Read the steps before that to know how to mark the placement of the pilot holes.

depends on the size of your grow.. Rump uses 1 400W HPS for his 2 plants..

I suggest 600w lamps for smaller grows (best bang for the buck)

schedual should be 24/0 for VEG and 12/12 for FLOWERING

does this bubble bucket need a reservior or is all the water/nutreients contained int he bucket?

Seems like a good pump to me. Send me one, I will try it out for a few months and let you know if it's any good.

screw that how bout i buy it and tell you..... im getting my list together so when my next pay check comes i can join teh BB club.

but Mr.Hank Venture, you had that waterfarm..im thinking of buying the single bucket and not the starter kit and moding it out. my questoin, would a normal square five gallon bucket? my plan was to use that to test out my skills then if i need possibly use that one as e resivor to make more buckets to add on to. good idea?

WaterFarms as a first hydro grow is one of the best ideas. Don't use the crap they give you for nutrients. Get a good PH pen and the Lucas Formula.

they were also helpfuly when it came time to RMA my ballast that stopped working, I had lost my order info and they looked it up for me off some vauge info that i rembered.. great service!

yo rump. i was just over at icmag and i noticed alot of their dwc systems are in black buckets. and that gave me an idea. I know you prefer everything to be reflective and thats why you wrap them in aluminum tape. but in my experience, the tape can rip pretty easily. so i was thinking if the buckets arent black to begin with, grab a can of black spray paint. then after it dries, wrap em up!
