I am having trouble with my bubblers. My young plants have a very difficult time making to where they can take the higher ppm's. Right now they seem to be really mag difficient and nitrogen also. Have any suggenstions for the transition from 10 day old plant to 12/12 flower cycle? I think that maybe my ppm's are more in line now but were most likely out of kilter. Right now on my two young ones are right under 1000 on ppm and 6.0 ph...Please help Am I missing something?

I can help with building buckets and grow rooms, but I don't know much about other feeding methods other then my own. I don't measure PPMs in my formula, I only check the PH daily. Sorry, R.

ok I'm sure I've probably asked that before but thought I'd try again. They just seem to take a major shock now that they are in their own seperate bucket. I moved them in young like you are doing now but they are not likeing it??? I'm also thinking that I should move to GH products also. They have a lot of product, can you give me specifics on what to buy from GH?

Read the Lucas Formula. It's real simple and all the details are on that page.

I have read it and I know that it seems pretty goof proof. My question is more about the brand than the feed schedule. GH the way to go?

The lucas formula is a feeding formula for GH Flora series only.

so all you do is check the ph and let the rest go?

Lucas gives three ways to work the formula:

1.Top off with water, after adding back an amount of water equal to the amount of your reservoir capacity you should change the reservoir and put in fresh solution (my case its 10 - 14 days). Very simple. All you do is fill a spare bucket with water, when its empty from topping-topping off, replace your solution.

2. Top off the reservoir daily using a pH corrected 100% strength nutrient solution as required to maintain full reservoir level. Continue to use this nutrient solution without dumping the tank unless the PPM rises above acceptable levels.

3. The "addback" method. This is to add nutrients back to your solution to get the correct PPM.

I do the first one. So I don't need to check EC/TDS.

If you have seen my new setup, notice I'm growing two plants using three buckets. I don't need to replace my nutrients as often doing it this way.

How many watts are you running on your two plants? Nice job. I followed your bubble bucket instructions by the way and it turned out great. You talked me into doing hydro lol, although I'm worried about keeping my pH and stuff adjusted properly. By the way, how do you know if your ppm reaches unacceptable levels when you can only check the pH?

Above are three seperate methods of using the Lucas Formula. I use method one. Method one does not need you to check PPM. No matter what method you use, PH must be check/adjusted every day or so.

Cool man. I'm about to start a grow using the 4 bubble buckets I built. 4 WW under 600 watts. Hopefully I get a good yield. Pretty excited about it.

Incredible set-up! morphed into something really cool I'm guessing the third bucket in the line provides a nice buffer zone and allows for a central collection point of the two buckets. Thanks Rumples

if ya gonna have multiple buckets do ya need to have a water pump to keep the water circulating
