Them plants look great. I will always love soil growing. I hear the taste is superior.

Hands down the hardest part of indoor growing is ventilation. It seems no matter how much you do, it just wont stay cool enough. I tell folks to overkill ventilation and if that is not enough, then do your best to grow in a hot cabinet. My first summer indoors had temps of 110 degrees in the grow room. I harvested some bud anyway.

Never stop thinking of new ways to improve your ventilation.

When using this bubble bucket setup, should the bubbles be actually splashing water on to the hydroton pebbles in the beginning?
I figure when you start out with a small plant, the roots won't be hanging way down in the bucket like that, they are gonna be hidden up in the pebbles right? So I am assuming you will need to keep the water level way full in order to ensure to 'splash' onto the pebbles.

Im no pro, but from what i saw in pics the roots are pretty long when he transplanted them to the bucket, if you water it after transplant I think its enough time for the roots to grow before it needs water again. actually looking back I think roots were already long enough to reach water level

Thats about the size of my closet. Should be more then enough space.

New clones may require you to keep the nutrient level touching the bottom of the netpot until you see roots, then drop it down one inch.

First off this is a terrific post, Rumple. you've answered a lot of questions for me already, but a few things are still unclear and i'm hoping you've got yet more answers for me!

So i'm getting ready to start my first hydro grow, and first real grow at that. i've got a 4x4 grow tent, in which i plan on putting 4 bubble buckets.

- will i be able to reuse my nutrient solution by just monitoring them and topping em off as they need it, or will i have to replace the solution every week or two?
- with seedlings started in rockwool cubes, should i fill (as described above) up to the bottom of the net pot?

Rump is using the Lucas formula and it offers you two ways. One is to fill up the system and then empty it and refill around every 10 days.
The other method is to top up every day with a nutrient solution and then you never empty the system the whole time.

HEy rump will Clear airline tube from pet shop work, It didnt say silicone

So Murdoch when we transplant the rockwool cube into the netpot we should rest the cube on the bottom of the net pot? Or should there be a layer of hydroton and then the cube?

As a side question, could you place the rockwool cube about 3/4 of the way up in the netpot and hand water the cube/roots until the roots are able to reach the bubbling water?

I put down a layer of hydroton on the bottom. The rockwool will get too wet if placed right on the bottom (guessing).

The bubbles will make a thick vapor around the basket. I place the level just touching the bottom of the basket for new clones. As soon as you see roots (two days) drop the level and maintain it at one inch below the bottom of the basket.

Clear airline will work fine. It can be made of anything flexable. Just tape up an inch or so at the point it goes into the lid/side. You need to make it light proof.

you will see what Rump is talking about come flower time. they veg ok but you will be very dissapointed with your flowering, yield and finished product assuming you have grown under hid lamps before so that you something to compare it too. the flowering experiments with l.e.d's are endless all over the different forums on the net. I have yet to read one that turned out well and have been looking and reading the post for the last 2 years regarding l.e.d grows.

with that being said, you wont know until you see for yourself. we do wish you well.

I have a killer strain that yeilds a great deal. I get around 6-7oz per plant. I have got more but conditions have to be real good to yeild over 6.
