I did a quasi-update to the thread for Rump... it's back several pages. I'd told him after doing this that, when time and finances allowed, I was planning to do a PDF from start to finish...

Hopefully, I'll be able to get that project done soon... as, it's almost time to get started on my next "research project"... and I'd like to use a bucket or two in that process...

Sorry, no offline version for download. The first page will give you a working bucket, but some things have changed. Don't build the air stone holder, just use 2 bubble disks. Also I put the fill in the lid.

I've been reading this post page by page and I so remember you say somewhere for how long you veg your plants but now I can't find it anywhere.

So for how long do you veg before 12/12 ?

Well I found it on another thread where you say you veg 10-14 days.
Is that from cuttins or seed?

Its from a rooted clone. Not sure how long from seed. It's been a lot of years sense I grew from seed.

So you take a clone that's already got roots and you veg that for 10 - 14 days? Or is it 10-14 days all in all from the time you make the clone?
How tall are your plants when they go into flowering?

beautiful post guy, did you top that plant or scrog or anything, i am building my first r.d.w.c., system, my pump i thought would work 80 gph, but that would not even water my dog. what size do you recommend for a 4 5-gal. set up using a 5 gal. rez. Also i am using a 4 gang outlet of 1/4" tips out the top of the rez, think i can run 1/4" line to all 4 buckets? I put alot of time into building this set up and only need the feed pump,.
I am also using 2 air pumps, one 2 outlet, and a single outlet pump, 2 stones in ea. bucket, and a 24" tube in the rez. think that is enough air?
I dont plan to have much solution staying in the buckets, with the ball valves i plan to reguate the solution levels.
How often is the feed cycle?
My last grow was manual feeding and e.f..AGRIVATING!
I am also using rookwool and marble rock for the medium.
Is this going to on all the time?
My lighting is at veg. stage, 6-150w cfls
flower will be 400w hps.
What advice could give? Thanks in advance.

They don't call it DWC for nothing. Your roots are ment to be submerged in nutrient 24/7.
You air pumps will work fine, I cant tell you about the water pumps, I dont have a recirculating system.

Did you find any improvement/difference in your move to higher priced lights? Hortilux bulbs seem to burn out very quickly, and for the price, that is simply unacceptable. I have read good reviews about the Phillips Son T plus (600 watters). The no-names are rated for even higher lumens, but they don't "appear" to be as brilliant.

I found no big improvement. I just switched back to the homedepot one.
