You want mostly "N" for vegetative growth, and then you'll switch to "P" for flower.
Like super said, your soil looks pretty rough. Have you PH tested yet? Also, do you spray the leaves during light/dark hours? I believe that spraying the leaves just after the lights turn of can really relieve som heat/light stress, and although i hear/see people do it, you don't want to spray them during the day. Krinkly foil will create hot spots, mylar or emergency blankets would be a better bet.

Ok... here are some pics taken with the same crap cam. I have some yellow coloration going on at the tip of the bigger girls leaves with some brown spots near them as you can see in teh pics. This same coloration is happening on a smaller scale to the smaller girl. The soil I am using has some nutrients in it, im not sure if its anything to worry about but the values are.. .15 .05 .10. Could the problem be related to ph levels? Im not certain what they are but id like to know if I can rule that out. Im thinking its either lack of fresh air, (which doesnt make sense as theyve been getting the same amount of air as always and this problem has only started happening recently) not enough nutrients, or too many nutes in the soil. Take a look..
![]() ![]() ![]() Id also like to know i can top the plants or if thats something you only do when there are buds forming? |

The crispy edges and brown spots are from NUTE burn.. looks like your using some SCOTTS soil or something simular with nutes already in the soil, this is not good as a young cannabis plants need no nutes untill about a month old.. When you transplant find you some new ORGANIC soil If you stick with what you have you will be fighting THE BURN till they die...
Also YOu sould consider loseing the foil, this can cause hotspots, at the same time I would also buy a few more CFLs It looks like the one plant is bigger because Its right under the light but the other is turning and reaching for the light put a few more bulbs.. Just remember with flouros you want something LIKE 75w/psf... Have fun and good luck...

Spraying during lights-on is fine, so long as you a) use a wetting agent, so there are no large (magnifying) droplets, and b) have good ventilation.
As for the clear pots, roots don't mind so much; the trouble is that algae and other non-benificial organism will flourish in the moist atmosphere and compete for Oxygen in the root-zone. Lack of Oxygen in the root-zone is Bad News, which is why you find growers shaking their water bottles like crazy before watering their plants. -mu ps.. Remove that foil! Even flat white paint is superior. pps. I have no comment on the nute-laden soil, other than... "Oh dear". |
