Hi Guys,
Ive 4 plants under 400 HPS, they are in week 6 flowering but i dont know what's wrong with them since their buds are so tiny and havent smelled yet. Im giving them an organic fert every watering. What would you guys recomend me? I paid around $80 extra every months for the electic bill the bumps up but i dont think all my plants will worth it.

Holy shit, and flowering you should be running it 12hrs a day right? How much is the bill to begin with?

Either you did something wrong (could be an infinite amount of things) or it's a strain with just plain shitty genetics. Could be a combo of both you never know. My advice is try another strain and keep the climate ideal.

maybe your ballast is on the fritz? old and not very efficient bulb? for my 250w my bill went up by 20$. maybe the rates in your area are very steep?

Something must be wrong here let me show you :

0.4 KW * 12 = 4.8 KWh per day
Thats 4.8 *31 = 148.8 KWh per month.
Thats 148.8/80 = 1.86 KWh per dollar.
Thats over 53 cents per KWh.

Are you sure you are paying 53c/KWh?

you may have a light leak imo, hurry and fix the light leak before the plant ages, recover what you can, if your room is airtight and no exposure during the 12/12 cycle than your buds should be doing fine.....no nutrient deficienies or otherwise?

the bulb could well be past it's best.even if it's quite new, if it's a cheapo that came with the ballast get another for next time. believe me, after a year i KNOW my sodium lamp needs replacing, even though i veg with halide.
plus without pics, you might be growing a pure sativa and before you only grew indicas. that could partly explain your disappointment . some sativas need 13+ weeks of 12/12. food for thought

Guys,
Thanks so much for every input.
I live in CA. I got the light set up from Insidesun.com the frist set up arrived with some problem with ballast. It wont turn on as you want it to, i had a hard time to turn it out.. i have to turn bulb in and out till it kicks in. So, i returned that ballast and get the replacment now. The fist bill i got from the 400 HPS the bill wasnt full of a month, it bumps up around $70. Now im using the replacement one without any problem, the second bill came up with at less $80 extra. Before using the light i paid around $80-$100 a month, last bill was $186. Dude, i dont know what to explain my cousins ( we live together) I almost give up growing plants after i saw the bill.
Temperture is about 80+- when light's on and 65+- when its off. The buld is brand new. I dont know what to do next now, buds are so tiny.. ill attach some picture soon.
Dude, pls help me out man! What do you guys pay for the 400 HPS bill?

if the fan is blowing on the plants, too much wind will slow growth
tips look like some nute burn
