i started growing on aug 8th. i got 10 nirvana ww plants that were supposed to be feminized. this is my first real grow and im not sure what is a male or female yet. the pics i took turned out way to blurry for the close ups of where the stuff is growin, but on 4 plants i have what appears to be very very small clusters of little balls growing where the plant branches meet, and on some plants i have some very very microscopic white hairs comin out, but theyre turning brown. so do u think the plants whith the small clusters of balls are males? im pretty sure they are, but i need conformation. if they are, when should i get rid of them? if i keep them in the closet will they make my females hemies or how does that work? also, i think they should be farther along with the flowering process by now, sence theyve been on 12/12 for 9 days now. im not sure what im doing wrong, but it might be that i havent fertalized enough, i used dr. earth once about 3 weeks ago. should i get some ferts for flowering? what kind should i get?

They we're SUPPOSED to be feminized? So what happened? Any light leaks? Id wait another week or so, don't worry they won't spray any pollen. Then sex em or take better pictures, can't see shit there

simple. DONT LOOK AT THE NODES --- look in the heads!! stigmas or sacks will appear in their FAR before on the nodes, so simply get your 2 fingers and spread open a head (top of the node where all those little leaves are coming out) and search it for either white hairs or small sacks. simple.

no worries, you'll be able to tell they are female or male in no time flat, no magnify needed, they are plain as day visible

Time isnt a good thing when waiting to show sex, he might get 1 male 1 female and the male will pollinate the female if not noticed soon enough, so be quick about it

Don't they burst open near the end of the harvest? I mean, if he see's little pencil tip sized balls over one plant it's a def. male (if you got eyes). It's not gonna pollinate that small.

No way. The pods burst open approx 3 weeks after flowering is enduced... my hermies pollinated itself before i even noticed sacks (stigmas turn dark brown if pollinated)................... so no sorry youre wrong

so a hermi is just a pollonated plant right? or is a hermi a rare thing? do the balls burst open with pollen and then cauze the female plants to produce buds that hava a high content of seeds within the budd like in shwag? or does it cauze a female plant to produce 'balls' as well?

hermie = hermaphrodite. ie, one plant has male and female bits and can pollinate itself. i think.

so i def. have 4 males. i put them outside the growcloset yesterday all day so they didnt get much light, and they have really shown theyre balls now, on all the grow tips they are covered with them, so i am considering doing the same thing with my females, just give them a whole day off with no or little light so they will start growing bigger more visible white hairs. what do u guys think? bad idea? it just seems like the females are maturing much slower than the males. do u think i just need to add fertelizer to it?

Males usually show sex first and mature faster than females. I wouldn't mess with the light schedule. I would also chop those males down. If you haven't added any ferts, you should now. A high phosphorous fert like 15-25-20 etc.

Look for a macro button on your camera, it should look like a flower. Then take pics.
