WTF am i doin wrong?

when i first tried this years ago i was at least able to get my plant about 2 ft high.......but this time i cant even get the damn things sprouted out the ground....its been 3 days and the seeds havent sprouted out the ground so i dug to find the seed and to my surprise its the same as it was after i germinated it.....wtf am i doing wrong?.....i germinated the seeds, than i put soil in a 1 1/2 gallon pot and soaked it.....waited 15 minutes and poked a hole and put the seed in, put a bag over it and turned on my 250watt hps. temps have been no more than 81 degrees F......i used foxfarm big grow about 1/2 teaspoon in a gallon of spring water......wtf am i doing wrong?

sprouts need ONLY water
check your water PH even if the bottled water states its 7.0, it doesnt mean its true

start your sprouts in smaller containers and work your way up to larger as they grow, too much soil will hold water the small roots cant use up and get root rot, nute lockout or rootbound as the roots grow horizontal touch the container sides and grow down to the bottom where they mass up and the whole center of the soil in the contanier doesnt get used, only holds water

Don't give it any nutes. Don't water it until it sprouts above the soil. Try starting out in 18 ounce cups first. Maybe your soil sucks. Try a good soil like FoxFarm Ocean Organic. Once it sprouts, give it about 2-3 ounces of water every other day.

ok the seed germinated, the tails about -- long.....should i wait another day or plant it?....i have a little styrofoam (sp?) cup to use with new soil

Plant it, but make sure the soil is prewatered throughly. Then put a ziplock bag over it and put it i nthe dark. In about 24-36 hours, put it under some light and it should sprout right up. make sure it's not to hot in your room. Ideal is 75 degrees.

ok got her n the cup.....lets hope she grows =/
.....i put plastic wrap over the cup and left a little pocket for air......temps are 76.4 right now

plant doin a ok now......bout 3 inches above ground.....nice and green

temp is 79.2 and humidity at 70%.....i cant get the heat and lower until the winter comes so yup
