could u grow a plant to a decent size maybe a foot and half then make it bud by using cfls...or do i have to get mh and hps lights..i only have one plant and have 2 100 watt bulbs one acouple inches away from the sprout and one like a foot way

yes you can grow it from start to end with just cfls you need cfls in 2700k to 3000k to flower with and remember you need 2 times the light in flower so if you have 3 cfls for veg you need 6 for flower and just a quike note if you put cfl in the search box you would find tones of info

2700k and 3000k are color rateings on the lights for veg you want blue light that comes in at 4100k and 6500k lights or cool white depends how the maker putes it on the packeg for flower you want red light that comes in 2700k to 3000k or worm white lights and you alwas want 2 times the lights you would normaly have and if you dont have a timer get one becuse when you go 12/12 you want it going on and off the sime time every day

On the box it had a lil scale it said was like soft white..bright..daytime i got the daytime ones..

it was hidden on the back of the package in the smallest print you;d think it'd be on the front under the watts or something o well man thanks for your help if i have anymore questions ill let u kno..if its not to much..thanks again man

I love CFL's for the fact I can Veg plants while flowering ones are in their last 4 weeks and have plants ready to go back in the Flowering room straight away without worrying about double the electricity bill, I'm used to growin outdoor's so I started plants in a greenhouse and can honestly say my plants under CFL seem to look healthier than they would in the same time scale outdoors

how many watts are u using? and how much did you noticed a jump in your energy bill hoping not 2 much they r spost to be really good

they say they are 26W but are like 100w's? is it saying like its 100w's but uses as much energy as 26w's anyone kno what im talking about?

the lights mean this they use 26 watts of electric but are as bright as a 100 watt buld so you can get 400 watts of light in your spot and only pay what it cost for 1 100 watt bulb . this is my plant rite now under cfls im adding even more light this week agin thare are 6 cfls above the plant now since the pic was taken and im adding 2 to 4 more cfls on the walls yet

awesome im only growing one plant right now seeing how its going hopefully its grown a lil tomorrow i transplanted it today tho from a small cup into a bigger pot today when it sprouted but i didnt rly touch it i cut the cup open and put the soil in so hopefully its ok its the same soil in both pots..200 watts should be enough for one plant right cuz im ganna have to get 400 watts when i want to have it flower..

u only actually have 52w of light... u should double that for 1 plant when using CFL's... also u should have atleast 150w in flowering to get good results

Go by the actual wattage because the 100w is incandescent and meaningless in comparison. If you can, find 42w soft white 2700k for flowering...two will do a small plant ok, but more is always better. Have a look at my recent harvest under CFL.
