Max lighting levels?

Are there any limits on how many lumens and kelvin plants can recieve during veg? Or is that a dumb question seeing as the sun is thousands of times stronger than any light we can reproduce?

the sun is the strongest lite money CANT buy, as long as the lites arent burning the plants....... burn those watts

Actually, there is a limit to the amount of light your plant can use. It's something like 140,000 lumens as for the calvin reading that is the light spectrum being produced and again plants only use certain spectrums. Another fact you may not realize is that in the tropics and at high elevations plants do not grow when the sun is at its highest, because it is to bright for the plant that is exposed to the direct light to use.

You can only have too much light if that light you have creates too much heat that can't be vented. So, anything brighter than the sun might ruin the plants otherwise they should be fine.
