Paid Members Shouldnt See Advertizements

Just like the title says.


I hate seeing links littered all over the forum with words like h202 , amazon , walmart , etc. its not doing it here in this particular post, but it does happen.


any other paid members agree?

Eh people have brought it up before and Superjoint just always ends up closing the threads.

He runs the site, so it's up to him how he accrues revenue to keep it running. I think the viglinks are ridiculous but I'm also not a paid member, so I guess my thoughts hold less weight

yeah, i dont mind the banners with discounts. i actually like having them pop up so i know what kind of deals are going on.


the vig links are what irritate me.

I used to think people would hyperlink general websites like amazon its a bit annoying, i feel like that would be a bit of a bitch to code, it either requires cookies for those with paid memberships, or communication over servers to do a "membership y/n" check in a database.

i suppose its possible

the dude is running a business..
the forums cost him a ton to keep up..

so if we have to look at some blue words in a few posts in order to keep the forum running without pop ups and other adverts then i'm all for it.

if i hated it that much, then i'd probably just stop posting here and go somewhere else.

As long as were not advertising "legal buds" with naked chicks then i really don't care. Go look at ANY other weed forum... i dare you.. spend 5 minutes looking at there forum compared to ours OP

It's not that i don't like naked chicks... just that i don't like browsing a site with those ads at work.. or at home.. or anywhere else for that matter with other humans in the radius.

Or we could all use the blue font.

IDK...I run all kinds of ad-blocking and anti-tracking software, so maybe that does the trick for me?

I'm with adub on this though...I really wouldn't care if I had to read through a few, or even a lot of blues words...sure, I have to admit, it'd be different and probably somewhat annoying at first, but I'd get used to it...sure beats having ads posted on every blank spot on the page, and if it helps SJ to keep GC running, I'm all for it...
