is there anywhere on the site that has a key for all of the symbols used?...like in the forums the little burning letter symbols or any of the symbols in my user CP. im confused by all of these

by the way, how can you tell if your reputation or karma is good or bad?

I haven't found a code, but what I know from posting on message boards for years is:

You have positive rep/karma. Look above your name - the little green box. Those with more have more little boxes. Negative is red boxes. You can go into your User CP and scroll to the bottom of that page. It will show the last 5 rep you have received from people. Most do not post their name with their comments when they give neg rep, but I think its a bullshit stunt to give neg rep without leaving your name...

The flaming red letter means that there are over so many replies in the thread. I'm not sure what the reply threshold is for it to flame though.

If there is an arrow on the envelope then you have a reply(ies) in that thread.

Signature Limits: All signatures should not exceed the following size limits, and you can't have both text and images. Text Signatures: 4 lines normal size OR 8 lines small size and up to 90 chars per line. Font sizes above 2 are not allowed. For images in signatures: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 125 pixels tall and 20k in size.
