My name is Elendil. I am Cherokee of the Keetowah, Deer Clan, and I don't, by choice, use my true name, but the nick "Elendil" because I feel that this Tolkien
character and I have much in common.

I have a favor to ask of the Administrator(s) here:

I placed an order today - just a little while ago. The order number is 076490,
and is for two Protopipes and four Large Glass Shabongs.

Due to our governmental "witch hunt" for those that choose the path of light
I would really appreciate it if all the pipes and the shipping box were labeled
"For tobacco use only. Not sold for any illicit purpose."

This way customs will leave my pipes alone.

I tried to contact the shop using their telephone numbers, both the fax and the
regular telephone number, and both were out of order. Also, I could find no email address.

So, if you guys can help me straiten this out with the shop I would be eternally grateful.

I have a home in the city, in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I also have a farm near the reservation.

I find myself spending more and more time at my farm.

All of the spirit walks I have had lately have not been good. They all show that
even the least malignant way is going to cost us dearly before the world comes to sanity.

When men (and women) are judged by their character, and honesty, and courage instead of their skin color, or personal beliefs, religion, or sexual preferances, then, and only then will we truly be able to honestly call ourselves "civilized".

This whole situation reminds me of the Pope "Urban the 1st.". He had issued an edict against the teachings of Copernicus simply because Copernicus had scientificaly and mathematically shown that the earth, the moon, all the planets', and all the stars' movements were governed by laws of nature instead of the direct hand of God.

Gallileo wrote a book about this time (1600's) and, brilliantly sidestepping the church's edict, wrote the book in the second and third person(s) so to speak:
He wrote the book with three characters, the first followed the views of the church, the second followed the views of Copernicus, and the third followed neither, but using truth like Occum's razor, the direction was obvious. The Pope was infuriated and had poor Gallileo imprisoned, at the time, for life.

So you see, history repeats itself, and will continue to do so until we finally learn, all of us, the truth, a simple truth really, that we are all sacred, and when one is lost, we all suffer in some way.

I have a saying, a prayer really, that I say daily: "Great Spirit, please give me
the understanding to have the kindness of Jesus, the patience of Buddha, and the wisdom of Muhammed."

God has many faces, and one face, believed in, makes the other faces no less valid, but only reinforces the good in all the other beliefs.

I ran a forum kind of like this one for many years until, for health reasons, I had to quit. I sold the forum to the oldest member there, a young man, but very wise for his years. "Big Nate" is his nick there.

The forum is called "Entheogen Dot", or, what we fondly call her, "Edot".

I don't know if any of you have noticed, but all the really good sites are slowly disappearing.... and it isn't just because of normal attrition either.
