I think the "Noob question Forum" Is a great idea. Not only will it provide room for newer members to post a question freely without fear of being ridiculed or slammed with a "USE THE SEARCH!" post.

-For anyone new to the cannabis smoking culture that forum would be perfect for browsing through older posts.

I cant beleive you guys. You expect someone to come from the womb, all-knowing, and powerful. People have to learn guys. Give them chances, Dont complain because someone is asking questions.

This forum would be GREAT should no one complain about whats wrong with it. This forum is awesome I dont get what you guys are talking about

honestly dude it's not complaints in the form you would usually see them it's more along the lines of suggestions....no one is bashing gc but i do agree seeing the same threads over and over does get old....no one expects someone to come from the womb all knowing and shit but there should be a newb question forum or w.e.....i've seen it on plenty of other forums and it makes shit a lot easier and a lot more interesting

This forum is great. I honestly don't see what th fuss is about. If you don't like the place, then leave. If you love the place, stay and enjoy yourself. If you think the forum is going downhill, then make an effort to improve it by helping out the "Noobs" that don't know whats what, and making more creative threads. Complaining doesn't help in my opinion.

BTW that "Noob Question" idea is pretty good. Or maybe we can all pitch in and make a "FAQ stoners guide" or something. lol

If not getting a Noob forum just make a thread of FAQ, just a thread containing all the main questions that is always up at the top would probaly help out.

You guys are generating some good ideas and that is the only way things are going to continue to grow and change around here. We are a community and it really wasn’t that long ago when you could count the amount of forums we had on one hand. A ‘Newby’ forum isn’t a bad idea and may help keep some of the frustration down for you other members who are trying to usurp useful information; we just have to remember that we were all newbie’s once.

FAQ’s are one of those big works in progress; they take a while to compile so please be patient. Everyone wants an organized easily used forums and we are trying to work in that direction. Everyone can have a short-lived frustration, people who muck things up tenure are usually short, we need good contributors, they are the life of the board.

Ya, maybe get something going :P
Also, i think maybe a forum with a pinned faq at the top would be good, i think its kind of impossible to cover every aspect of smoking and every single question imaginable in one faq.. So i think a forum would be more appropriate

I tend to think that most noobs don't like to think of themselves in that way and wouldn't be inclined to post in a "noob forum."

Well, you see, the thing here is, I think America is great. I complain all the time about the laws we have here, but I certainly don't want to leave. I want to stay, and try to help make it a better place. That is what this guy is doing. I think he IS helping, and I think most of us are in line with this n00b forum. That's helping. What isn't helping is making it seem like we have to love it or leave it. We love it SO much that we want to make it better, and the first step sometimes is defining what's wrong, which is what he did.

By what ive seen in other forums, it works very well.. Correct me if im wrong, i think someone would rather call them self a noob by posting in a "Noob questions" forum then be called one by 13 other people you dont know.
