What are the rules/guidlines to adding to someones reputation or reporting a bad post?

Like, is reporting a massivly repeated thread that could be easily searched for as a bad post, allowed or is it just for things like flaming, advertising, etc.

i knew that part, but what about the overly posted threads? Are those considered bad posts or no? Like the "what kind of music", "what kind of piece" etc kind of posts...

We really can't consider those as reportable posts. Yes, we all tire of seeing repeat threads and we try to encourage use of the search button. Many of those repeat threads are from new users. It's not really fair to call them out hard on it because they are new. If in doubt, feel free to report a post or thread. All Mods of that forum will be sent an email with the thread and the reason it or a post in it is being reported. We'll check it out and correct things if need be. We're here to help you guys out and keep the board flowing. Don't think we'll be upset if you want us to check on something.

As far as the reputation feature...

That's a judgment call. Agree will give a point, disagreeing will take it away. I believe we have the ability to turn this feature on or off. So if we see that all the users are slamming each other for the sake of dragging the reputation down, I'm sure we'll kill the feature.

Just click on User CP, you can't see who posts it unless they actually type their name in it. At least I haven't found a way.
