I think a darker layout would be better because the brightness of this layout hurts my eyes after looking at it for a few minutes.

I'd go for a darker layout...this actually starts to wear on my eyes after a little bit. Plus the two inches of nothing but snowy whiteness on each side kind of sucks sometimes. But either way it's all good.

What about those options at the bottom that some forums have where you can select from like 3-5 differen skins?

im down for a new color scheme, as long as its not like erowid's experience's page layout. Honestly, if im reading a lot of trip reports on erowid i have to copy and paste the text into MS Word and make it normal text because the black background with w/e color text makes it so hard to read and strains the eyes.
