Keeping off-topic threads out of Rec/Seasoned

Hey guys, I've been noticing that there have been more off-topics threads in the Recreational and Seasoned forums than usual and I've been trying to think up of a way to keep everything more organized besides relying on mods to just move the threads (they shouldn't have to spend all day doing it!).

I think the reason that there is a lot of off topic posts is because Recreational and Seasoned are seen as the main sections of the site (which makes sense), but because of this many of the less active/new members never really scroll down the main page to see the other parts of the forum (General, Music Hall, etc).

So...I was thinking maybe if you moved the "Smoking and Usage" block to below the "Chill Out Zone" block it would force people to scroll down and actually see there are more parts to GC that are specifically designed for certain kinds of threads.

Basically set it up like this:

Chill Out Zone
Smoking and Usage
Marijuana Growing
Marijuana News and Discussions
Web Site Feedback

Or you could have Marijuana Growing first, then the rest in that order.

Just thought this might be a relatively simply change that could have a desired effect. Anyways I'm pretty blazed so if this doesn't work/has some huge gap in logic just ignore it.

I think the search button should be highlited our stood out in someway. It just blends in up there and sadly is overlooked alot of the time

Thanks for the suggestion. It's been thrown out there in the past but was shot down. We're trying to work on things. It's out of control. People think that Rec Use is a catch-all for everything and Seasoned Tokers is used by everyone but true seasoned tokers.

We're going to try to make some improvements. We'll see if we can't do a little rearranging along with other things.
