I must be losing my mind. How in the world do you embed a Google or Youtube video (or any flash or whatever for that matter) in a new message?

I want the player to show up in-line with the message. Like this.

I searched and searched to no avail. :-(

I haven't done it, but I would try quoting a post that embedded a video similiar to what I wanted to do, cut and paste their html into my post and edit it appropriately.

Thanks, but I don't see how my own HTML can be injected into a new message. And I don't see how to directly edit the HTML of a message.

In your User CP under Edit Options, change Message Editor Interface to Basic Editor - a simple text box.

Sweeeeet. You rock. And actually the "Standard" editor works that way too. It never occurred to me to just paste the HTML in with the forum markup. Der. :-)

Thanks. Yeah, that's what I did. Just didn't realize you could actually post HTML straight into the editor. Coolness.
