Xbox 360 or PS3

I have always had 360, just got RROD, sucks, and was wondering if it was worth it getting a new xbox, (the warranty is out) or buying a PS3? what is better.

I just want a opinion on what to get from all of GC, I don't intend to start a console war or anything, just want a opinion.

360!!!! ps3 are nice but have alot of issues too.

I would say an Xbox 360. They are the best system for games atm. I am on my 7th system need to go by my 8th.

I would suggest buying a repair kit for your xbox, they're not expensive at all and its out of warranty anyway

if you got the money ps3. absolutely no question asked. especially if you have the 1080p hi def TV and the hi def cables. tottally worth it imo.

Ehh, sorry, no fancy tv for me, just a piece of shit, i'll go get a repair kit, since the warranty is out anyway

I have both systems and I play my 360 a lot more. I only play my ps3 with exclusive games.

I have a friend with a ps3 and he says he never plays it online because there are too many lag issues and such. Is this true? I would be willing to let a few issues slide just so I don't have to pay 50 bucks a year for xbox live.

Here's the thing. PS3 games usually have better graphics than X360 games, but there actually are a lot of games that look the same or better on the X360. And the PS3 might have some cool games, but they're mostly Jap. RPG shit like FF, which I hate (no offense to fans lol), and PS3's just aren't even NEAR as polished as 360's

For the money and availablity of games get a Xbox. I here they break a lot. But, that being said for the games that it does have the PS3 on a 1030i tv is great, and they are really trying to make their software more 'mediacenter'like it seems. I just read they have some deal w- netflix too.

idk I hope more good exclusive PS3 games comeout.

You should look up "Demon's souls", its an amazing game. Its a ps3 exclusive and one of the best games I've played in a long time. It really didnt get a lot of attention even though all the game sites were rating it very high.

Did you check and see if it's out of warranty for red ring? Just because it's out of normal warranty doesn't necessarily mean it's out of Red Ring.

Let me put it to you like this. I have a PS3 and a 360 and when I want to play something, 9 out of 10 times i go with the 360.

Xbox has better online, better controller, better multiplatform games(CoD4 for example is a lot better on 360) and a better interface. However it sounds like you're going to detonate an atomic bomb everytime you turn it on and of course RROD is a problem. If you're a person who likes competition, Live is where it's at.

PS3 has some wonderful exclusives such as Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2. Yeah it has FREE online but i would rather pay $8 a month or $50 a year to have the quality of what Live provides. You can play blu-ray, but who wants to spend $30 on a movie? Hello Piratebay, bye-bye PS3. Sony is also an evil, evil company. Look up Sony rootkits and that will explain a lot. They offer horrible community support as well. Web browser is cool but i have my computer for that.

That's not saying Microsoft isn't evil.

Both companies sometimes have shotty customer support too, especially Sony.

Honestly, you have all your buddies on Xbox live, you might as well keep it in the family. PS3s are pretty cool. Just not what i'm into i guess.

xbox 360 just because of how superior the controllers are to the PS3.
