I have been reading a lot of posts recently about how people love to exercise around here, smoke and exercise etc...

but i was just wondering how everyone got INTO their workout routine/what it is?

i would love to start working out, but am so damn lazy its hard to just get up and do it.

i used to work out with my dad when he was around but have stopped for the past 2 years or so

Well, I feel really good after a hard workout/run so I try to think of how good I will feel after I'm done.

This.

Something that might help is to make a routine of workouts you want to do, so you can just follow that schedule without thinking of getting motivated.

Then smoke something after the workout, you'll love that feeling trust me..;)

Build up the motivation little at a time maybe.. Like do little work outs here and there. Then once you start realizing you're losing weight that could be the motivation to kick it into high gear and start working out a lot more.

If I were in your situation, I'd start by walking to my dealers house to pick up my goods, then go from there.

brother i have been in your position and trust me in what im about to tell you

you really just have to start, and once you do, like right after your first workout or even during you will be like o shit freethebirds was right.

i dont know if you love working out at your gym (public) but a personal set of weights at home is perfect really.

and i say you will say im right becase man working out its more then just o shit you are losing fat/building muscle.
actual reactions are taking place in your body. your body is producing these kick ass dope ass thigns called endorphins and im sure a bunch of other good feeling shit too.
you will feel VERY good whilst lifting and after, the pump is gonna be sweet, you are gonna instantly gonna look better, you are buildling whats gonna be a dope kick ass project that is gonna pay off once people see the hardwork and dedication you put into your body.
yes people will like you better cause your body has the mental and physical fortitude, dedication and determination to reach sucess. which is only a minor representation of your life as a whole.
you are the man.
you can do it

you just have to start man, once you do and finish it everyday/ or everytime you workout, you will know that you pushed yourself 100%.
this small amount of time spent working out will truly make your life better easily in the short, medium, and long term, in so many ways.

on a sidenote i havent worked out for a week or two. i must get back into a consistent schedule. my post kinda inspired me.
kanye- 'At the Grammy's I said I inspired me'

ok well i was high writing this and accidentally pushed enter at the end, thinking i ONCE AGAIN lost a long ass post with some meaning behind it.
well i hope you got something out of this piece of shit.

just get into that first workout man, you'll see why. breaks are cool too :D :D :D :D

The hardest step is to actually move your ass to the gym. After that, you can easily get hooked to it, but its still possible that you CBA after a week or so.

Also, not sure if weed helps you out really in workout, but it might oO

- I'm pretty much being forced to go to the gym.

- The fact that I want to be healthy and look sexy.

- The possibility of me possibily ending up with the man of my dreams once I love my body and have a huge confidence boost.

- To not look like the blob my ex cheated on me with.

From past experience, I know the first week or two are the hardest. Then it just becomes part of your routine and you feel bad if you don't go to the gym.

Knowing that if I don't work out I'll turn into some fat lazy motherfucker motivates me pretty well.
That, and after working out once and feeling the post workout endorphins feels great, like a drug. I'm addicted.

Just do it. You'll like it.

alot of people's motivation seems to be "i just wanna be thin", i guess
it works for you, but for me i excersize because i want to be healthy and
i want my muscles to work for me , example: you think jason bourne
or any mma fighters kick all that ass without constant training? nope they
do it for the effect, and thats my motivation, being able to count on my
body incase i need to use it. get what im sayin or is it complete BS?..

The only way a person can be motivated, is by looking in the mirror, looking at the scale, or you just simply feel bad. Its up to you. What are your priority. Are you happy/comfortable at your current weight? If not, do something about it. If you don't do anything about it, you must be happy or comfortable with the way you look and feel.

I got into working out high like this:

I smoke my doobie while slowly ambling on my bike out of the house. Finish the doobie, and ride down a hill 'til the high starts to kick in. Once I feel pretty baked and my iPod finds some good tracks, I can lose myself in the ride.

Now the worst part of taking T-Breaks is how much harder it is for me to work-out.

But if you can just start and get into a routine it really is a huge chunk of the battle.

I also remind myself of how the exercise will benefit me in the future.

Honestly I do it for the endorphines. I feel lightheaded and carefree when I'm done doing my routine. I know it's keeping me healthier than if I didn't do it and I get to experience a brief reduction of stress. :D

running for the sake of running is REALLY HARD

that's why I play basketball... because it's actually enjoyable (though I'm sure many actually enjoy a nice run)

there are a few things that keep me motivated:

-feel terrific afterward (not unlike taking a bong rip)
-physical health (heart, lungs)
-better looking body
-sweat out toxins
-mental health. depressed or need a confidence boost? get a sweat going, I promise you will feel much better afterward

ultimately though, what keeps me going is the satisfaction afterward. It just feels good.

This is what worked for me. Not the walking to the dealer's house, but the lower impact type exercise to get used to activity.

I exercise to be good at sports. I play rugby for my university as well as pick up games of just about anything else with my friends. My motivation to get in the gym is mainly that I want the glory of a championship as well as not wanting to let my teammates down.

I initially started exercising really hard like I am right now because I looked at myself in the mirror and was ashamed. If there's one feeling I hate, it's that of feeling worthless. At the time I started working out I didn't really have much in my life to feel good about. Now, no matter what I do with the other aspects of my life, I at least know that I am fairly healthy and in good shape. So if you are just starting out, that can be great motivation. Don't get complacent after a month though. Keep going all the way through to your goals.

My philosophy exactly. If i'm ever feeling like I don't wanna work out, i'll look at pictures of obese people. That will definently get you of your ass, nobody wants to be a fat slob.
