I got my other thread deleted because it was a vast variety of different topics and subjects, and I figured that I'd just create a new thread to help show my progression/goals. My old thread was basically just me rushing for answers to questions. Now that I have the basics down, my questions that I'll have will be more specific.

Little Background: I moved from Janesville, WI to Orlando, FL June 7th, 2012. It was my intention the whole time that when I moved here, I was going to set goals to myself to get down to a safe weight and then see if I can bulk up any.

The moment I got to Orlando, I knew that I definitely had to accomplish this goal haha. It was AMAZING to truly see how overweight WI is to other states, they're not just statistics!

I weighed myself June 7th, I was 232 pounds. That was the HIGHEST I have ever weighed (besides that, I was 228 a couple years back). So, the combination of being the heaviest I had ever been and being in a new environment, I decided I might as well start this lifestyle change.

My hope is to get down to 185 (I picked this because last year I was down to 183 and felt it was a pretty good weight), and then start gaining muscle where I would eventually like to be around 200-210 fit. I don't know if that's a good weight or what, I've never worked out to gain muscle, only to lose weight. So, when the time comes, I guess I'll have a lot more questions for ya'll!

Here's my progression thus far:

Start: (I didn't weigh myself in June because I was just getting moved & situated in Orlando so I figured I'd start weighing myself in July)

June 7th: 232 lbs
July 1st: 220.6
July 8th: 216.4
July 15th: 216.4
July 22nd: 212.4
July 29th: 210.6
August 5th: 211.0
August 12th: 209.6
August 19th: 207.0
August 26th: 204.0

Obviously, I weigh myself weekly. I also plan on taking progression pictures every 1st of the month (no i won't reveal those, you guys have never done anything so horrible to deserve that).

I've been working out 7 days a week, haven't had a single day off in July actually. Currently eating around 1500 calories (not including drinks), and have been using MyFitnessPal quite a lot to get certain information down. Only vitamins are I take are Omega-3 (thanks Granny!), multi-vitamin, and green tea.

Any suggestions, feel free to share! Any questions, feel free to ask me :) Personal questions though, I don't know SHIT about being healthy lmao, you don't want my advice! I suppose I could give you my opinion though :). Otherwise, that's what you all are for!

tomorrow is weigh day. not that big of a deal either way. i do, however, have a mini goal that i'd like to reach 200 by September. that would mean around 3 lbs a week. which is doable, but probably going to be very difficult.

but meh, i don't see anything wrong with having a goal that you know you probably won't accomplish. keeps my mind off the bigger picture which can seem scary, and then focus on mini.

Yeah, as long as you're moving in the right direction be happy about it.

The more weight you lose, the slower it comes off, so you'll have to be persistent.

Some weeks you might stay the same, and it's okay. It's like that for everyone.

Just food for thought.

What James said, sweat causes me to break out so after every workout I make sure to rinse off in the shower. Usually affects my back and chest more than face though.

i figured it was because of the sweat, even though i shower INSTANTLY afterwards.

but i guess i didn't go in detail as much as i had thought. i was always under the assumption that healthy eating & dieting REDUCED acne. So i was hoping they would counteract some how.

I suppose that's not how it works, though lol.

there's a lot of things i'm proud of in regards to losing weight. but the biggest i think is how i'm losing it. i've been on diets / work out schedules before and i was able to lose A LOT of weight fast. like, 4-5 pounds a week EVERY WEEK. although I understand my progress is a lot slower than i had wanted this time, i need to just grasp the fact that it's a good thing.

those other times i was losing weight was very unhealthy, hence why i gained it all back within a few months. this time is different. i'm learning, reading up, talking to all of you who have been TREMENDOUS help, and just been taking it slow. i'm sure everyone gets disappointed or unmotivated sometimes, but that's just part of the game. i gotta keep going.

so i'm proud to say that i'm actually doing it healthy this time, and it's not exactly as horrible as i thought it would be ;-).

Sweat could play a factor.

Your fat cells are where your body stores its toxins. When you're working out hard and losing a decent amount of fat per day, these toxins overwork your liver, resulting in a little acne.

New month, new progression pictures!

Can't really see much of a difference from July 1st to August 1st. But hey, it's only a month right?

Today was also the day that I started the "100 push-up" challenge, as well as the "200 sit-up challenge".

They're just some programs that people on MFP (My Fitness Pal) recommended that I do during my off time. The goal is that by the end of the 6 week program, you should be able to do 100 pushups or 200 situps consecutively.

I have no arm strength and my stomach is fat as hell, so i figure it can only help! i'm doing them on opposite days of eachother.

one hundred push ups
two hundred sit-ups

if anyone else is interested.

my daily net calories are generally only around 800-900

thinking about adding some brown rice to my daily meals to add an extra 150 calories, and then also start juicing again.

i used to also make an apple, carrot, strawberry (with a hint of ginger root) juice that was always good.

might start doing that again just to up the calorie intake. plus, apples and carrots stay good forever so i could just buy a shitload of 'em probably haha.

if i start juicing, how do i record the calories? do they have the same calories as if i ate them raw, except i don't have the fiber?

morning Blades!

went to my early morning workout, only to find out my building turned off the air conditioning in the gym this early in the morning! so i did a little bit and just couldn't bare any more. oh well, i'll have to make up for it later!

also, someone told me a nice quote that was OBVIOUSLY written about me. "No matter how slow you go, you're still lapping everyone on the couch"

hope everyone has a great day!
