I've got some questions for you guys/gals and hopefully someone has some experience with this, but I truly appreciate everyones feedback regardless. Ok, so my question is, have any of you approached your employer to ask for approval of your mmj usage? I have been with my current employer for almost 2 years now and just recently started smoking again after obtaining my reccomendation. I have not told my boss about this, because the drug policy states that any illegal substances found in a drug test are grounds for immediate termination. However, it also states that their goal is not to interfere with anybodys private lives, and that substances that test positive or OK with a physicians prescription. Currently, im getting clean for about 6 weeks, then I plan to approach my boss about this. In the mean time I'm buying some powdered urine just in case, because if I lose this job I am truly screwed. Ok guys sorry for the long post, but here is kind of a recap of what I'm asking:

A) Have any of you asked your employers approval for using MMJ? What did they say?

B) Should I even bother asking them, or will they just deny me, and send me to a drug test (UT) because they now have reasonable suspicion? (Because of this I'm not asking until I'm clean.)

I'm hoping for some solid answers/opinions here, (which I'm sure I'll get at GC) as what you guys say will definitely sway my decision one way or another. I'm from LA and am currently attending UC San Diego. I use MJ about twice a week, and more frequently on weekends. My question is, should i apply for a card? For legal reasons of course, but I mainly use MJ for shoulder pain. I was hit by a car freshman year of high school, and i never had surgery or a prescription for vicodin or a similar drug - my doctor just told me to keep it iced and don't do any strenuous exercise. Usually it's controllable but in my first year of school (being very near the beach) i've noticed that the moisture in the air makes my shoulder ache intensely. A joint really seems to make me feel alot better, and it's likely better than popping 3 advil once every 6 hours or spending tons on prescription meds that turn me into a zombie. I was also wondering, what constitutes anxiety disorder? I have a tendency to get really sweaty palms and my mind races when i'm in an unfamiliar place with lots of people. Let me know what you think, any advice or doctor recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
