Well I'm pretty sure alot of blades are Dead Heads like me. Anyways I wanted to start a thread devoted to some of the more brilliant lines in their songs.

I mean like what are your favorite 1-3 lines in a dead song. The kind you can quote.

The two I'm thinking of right now are are "What a long strange trip it's been" and "Let there be songs/to fill the air". Many more but I'm feeling to lazy to list them now.

Also in about a year when I've saved up enough cash I plan on getting my Dead tattoo. If I see a cool quote I might put it under the Skeleton (or dancing bear, havnt made up my mind yet).

:wave:Hey city, I was listening to some DGD and I was curious if there were any other blades that were fans as well, I would have to say Dance Gavin Dance is one of my favorite band and has been for quite sometime.
Downtown battle mountain is my favorite album and my favorite song off that album is open your eyes and look north.

I know this is in the wrong section but I think this is more of a question for pandoras box anyway as the music section seems to be filled with more popular genres like hip/hop and rap.

Music has always played a large roll in my life and my musical tastes always seem to be expanding. Drugs seem to really give you a new outlook on music and allow you to enjoy different styles of music for different times.

Recently I have been switching genres of music completely about once a month. My taste for music as changed in the following order:

Classic Rock: Beatles, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix

Alternative/Alternative rock: Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Matt Costa, G.Love

Punk/Harder Rock: Nirvana, The Spill Canvas

Classic Rap: Eazy-E, A tribe called quest, De la sol, The pharcyde, Beastie Boys

Underground rap: Del the funkee homosapian, Dr.Octagon, MF Doom, Sage Francis, People Under the Stairs

Dj scratching/Mixing: Rob swift, Dj Krush, Eric B. & Rakim, Executioners

Ninja Tune: Dj Food, Blockhead, Up bustle & out, 9 lazy 9, Deceptikon

Dubstep: Bassnectar, Doctor P, Searchl1te, Datsik, Benga, Stagga, Excision, The Widdler

Finally this has all brought me to suddenly find an appreciation for Electronic music. I have been having a little trouble finding artists who have a product I consistently like, or even just one song I like for that matter.

One of my main problems is trying to find what kind of electronic music I like, So far I have found Hard House and Bassline House appealing, I think thats coming from all the hip/hop and dubstep I listen to.

But I guess the whole point of this thread was to ask try and find someone who maybe has similar tastes in music to my own or to find someone who has a nice library of Hard House or Bassline House and see if you had any artists you might recommend?

Once again I know this is about music, but I think it would be mainly GC boxers who listen to this type of music.

I know I sure was turned onto this music due to taking harder drugs, the repeating beat gets my head banging pretty hard sometimes without me even noticing. And with a love of dubstep hard hitting electronic beats get me in a nice rhythm.

*****Oh and as a disclaimer, I have searched throughout the electronic and house posts on GC, I have found some music but still haven't seem to find what I am looking for. I really am beginning to enjoy this type of music though and would love to expand my library in this genre
