I'm 2 weeks into flowering, indoor soil grow. I didn't use a high grade soil and am stuck using sub-par nutes - MG Blossom Bloom supplemented with epsom salts for added Mg, every third watering at around 2/3 recommended strength. Has anyone used Superthrive? It's available at the local home center and I was wondering if it's use would be beneficial. My grow is doing alright, nothing spectacular but buds are forming. Thx!

I am just starting the third week of flowering and some of the leaves on my plants are turning purple around the edges.....

Any ideas?

I was in my garage the other night (smoking a bowl of course) and even though I've lived in this house for 7 months, that night was the first time I saw the "above attic storage space" entrance. I wasn't that excited because I didn't think it would be a very big space, but I moved the trap door ceiling out of the way and stuck my head through.

THERE IS A TON OF SPACE. Originally, I was going to build a 4x4x6 stealth grow box in my attic above the top story of my house, but the more I think about it, the better this room seems. The usable space is much bigger than my original design.

Of course it is an A-Frame type room with a ceiling pitch of about 8'. It slopes downward at an angle from there. I would say that the rooms width is probably at least 15-20 ft and the ceiling is still about 2.5'-3' from the floor at the far sides of the room. It's about 8-10' long.

Now to me, it seems that even with the plants in a small area of the room and CFLs directly on top of them, the light would still escape to other parts of the room and the plant wouldn't get as much light.

Would you agree that the smallest possible enclosure that still gives your plants enough room to grow gets the most out of your lights???

Especially painted flat white? Even if I painted the whole room flat white and had the lights right above the plants CFL light is still going to go to the far ends of the room, and by the time its reflected won't be strong enough to benefit the plant at all.

I was think about enclosing in a small part of the room, since I only NEED about 12 square feet for the plants that I am growing right now. If that works out, in the future I'll grow more and get some giant HPS fixtures.

The only problem I'm concerned about would be the enclosing. First off, the access hole to the room looks to be like 2.5' x 2.5'. Secondly, there are all kinds of 2x4 for support throughout the room. Most are vertical which isn't that big of deal (unless they cast shadows on my plants then I'll have to get more lights), but some are at a 25 degree angle which is going to be a PITA to enclose around. Is there something besides plywood that I could use?

Some type of fabric or plastic I could attach to the already standing 2x4?

Lastly, there is a window there, but it seems that the builder spray painted it partly black so no one could see in, however, light still gets through. What is the best non obvious way to cover that window?

Fan Trouble

So I have a 4x4 cooling fan for a computer that I want to rig up to work. The fan has a red, white and blue wire coming out of it so I want to see if I can't wire it with an old laptop charger or phone charger, the only problem is I don't know what type of charger to use. The fan reads,

48 volts-DC 28 watt
(36volt-60volt-DC)

So what sort of charger to I need to rig this up, any ideas?

Hello all i am just wondering about my lighting i have just a few questions id like to see if i can get awnsered. like what people think of the 6bulb T5's and where i can get one(i'm located in Australia) i was also wondering if i could just use any old Fluoresent lights? and are they good for veg and flowering cycle or just veg? any help with these questions will be great.

Hopefully Ill be able to spice up Pandora's Box a little as I did back in the day haha. Anyways, I have three loves of my life: my girlfriend, Mary Jane, and Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds baby! I used to be a fukin dope fiend, but no more OCs and H for me, I love to trip and am a major advocate of hallucinogenics. But now Ive returned! haha well heres how this whole mess went down. About three months ago I was court ordered to rehab. I used to post on this site a ton, and now Im back with my story. This was a fuckin adventure.

So I get to rehab, met some pretty cool stoners, and just cool heads in general. Looking out my window every day, I could see the neighbors yard (the rehab was in cleveland, mind you) and their amazing garden... of weed plants. They had like 8 ten foot weed plants that were budding and everything and holy shit they were dank! So my household chore was taking out the trash, and when I went out to take it to the curb, I ripped off about a foot long bud thinking that they could definitely share.

I hid the bud in the insulation in the basement, and did crazy shit when I was there all the time, I jumped off of a staircase "to see if I could do it," got prescribed 800 mgs of seroquel, 2mg of Klonopin 3x daily, and pretty much stayed high the whole time, regretfully not considering my consequenses. I learned a lot there though, and since I left Ive been staying off the oxy and H, but blazin hard and trippin all the time.

About a month into treatment, me and my friend decided to escape. We were like fuck this shit and lets get high. So, we left rehab with no money and the clothes on our backs. We walked across Cleveland to my friends house and he answered the door like �dude, where the fuck have you been!?!� I was like, rehab!, but we escaped! Haha so he took us in and smoked us up. My first time blazin in a minute, and he had some daaaaank sour diesel. He wouldn�t let us stay with him, so we wound up sleeping on some random ass benches in Cleveland in the pouring rain.

The next morning, we woke up, and were fucking starving. We asked some homeless dude where to get free food and he said there was a homeless shelter nearby that served breakfast. After waiting in line with about 200 smelly homeless people, we treated our taste buds to some of the nastiest, stiffest pancakes that I have ever tasted. We wound up walking around Cleveland all day smoking bud and trying to bum cigs off of people until we ran into one of those evangelist guys who walk around and preach about god. He was like, �God grants us enormous wealth, and I have come to share this wealth with the world!� so, he gave us $20 for �a meal� no joke.

We couldn�t believe our luck, so we hopped on a RTA bus and rode out the suburbs where we live. We went straight to the skate park, and within no time, we had legions of generous stoners willing and ready to blaze us up. We met up with some friends, went to a party, and some kid who we didn�t even know bought us an 8th of dank. After sleeping at my friend�s house for three days, he said we couldn�t crash at his house any more. We couldn�t find a place to stay, so we wound up falling asleep in this doorway to an apartment building. It was freezing cold outside, so we were glad to have a heated area to sleep.

About two hours after falling asleep, I awoke to three cops brandishing flashlights and cans of mace at us. They recognized us, because we had warrants for escaping from a court ordered facility. So, the boys in blue brought us back to the station, and then from there we were escorted right back to rehab. I served another month there, and then once I got out, I had to appear before a judge in court to receive my sentencing. They gave me 30 more days in jail, and now Im back. I saw some fucked up shit and went through a hell of a lot in that bitch. I can honestly say that jail food IS as bad as people think.

So, rejoice and be glad, the infamous Pilsbury dBoy is back and Im glad to be rejoining the gc community!
