What do you guys burn your bud with?

I'm using a long lighter for a gas grill right now but the main issue with it is that it burns WAY too much up when I spark the bowl, (the flame is adjustable but most of the time its just too damn high), and the blue hit at the end of the bowl is always a gassy horrible tasting and nauseating gas toke. I Feel like im huffing lighter fluid. Eccck!
