depends on how much draw there is from the fan. if its 300ma then that will work. otherwise find out the amperage and go to ebay and type in '12v -insert amps here power supply'

I think it would be wise of me to spend the extra £3 and get the 1000ma lead I will likely be using 2 or 3 f12 arctic cooling fans and I done know the amperage but I presume it is higher than 300ma

1000ma = 1 amp, 300 ma= 1/3 of an amp, if you are giving more thank you can take,
the you will overheat, take more than you can give , you will also over heat, try to keep the amps and volts about the same, better to find the cause of the problem and work from there.

Thanks for the replys, would it be more advisable to do as i have done with my other fans and buy a cheap PSU and connect the fan controller to that? i guess its only another 5 i dont have to worry about the amps then.
