Support your local independent bookstores. You can download most ebooks for free from torrent sites but if you lucky enough to have an independent bookstore around use it.

If you have a smart phone with a e-book reader app (like iBooks or Stanza which are both free), check out Welcome to Tuebl from your phone's browser. They have a great collection of books that just came out and tons of older stuff. Best thing: it's all free! If you use Stanza, let me know and I'll explain how to add TUEBL as a source so you can download books from TUEBL inside the app instead of using lame Safari to go to the actual site.

goodreads.com suggests books for you based on what you like... i use it a ton- it actually has turned me onto some dope books....
