Is it ok to put where you got this torrent from (url)? How big in Gb is the file, just in case I have to hook up an external drive?

the one for oaksterdam? i need some tips and help on growing i havent started yet and will be soon and i was wondering if anyone knows any good books to pick up that would really help and guide me step by step.
This has to be the worst book I've ever read... But it does have some helpful information - just gotta learn to read past all the typos, runons, etc... I suppose he was pretty stoned when he wrote it and whoever edited it was asleep.

Fantastic book. He goes into a lot of detail about everything our plants need, and more importantly - WHY. And I mean everything. Spectacular read, I'm halfway through it now, and will re-read it just to pick up on the little bits I missed out on. I highly recommend this text.
Cheers,

seriously? it has to be one of the worst books i've ever read - the writing is atrocious and the information is repeated ad nauseum - as if he had to fill 300 more pages than he had written.
Marijuana Grower's Handbook is an embarrassing read and a waste of money. I had looked up to Rosenthal until reading his book which is just a ton of repeated information that you could easily find on these forums or a quick google search.
You should check out Greg Green's Cannabis Grow Bible (if you havn't already), it's actually well written, contains far more information and is updated frequently.
sorry, i'm just angry to be one of the fools who purchased Rosenthal's book before realizing better resources available. If anything, reading his book, i suppose, helped me find this forum and a wealth of information - i had decided to google several things throughout reading the book after I noticed how piss poor the book was (to double check facts and make sure i was doing the correct thing)
I've read through all of Rosenthal's book once (which is a lot like reading through it 3-4 times). I don't plan on ever reading it again.

This Forum is a goldmine of information. Read all the beginner 'sticky' notes and guides. Then read some grow journals. Then re-read the guides. Then read some more grow journals. Even if you think you understood something 100% I bet after your first couple of grows you'll have a few light bulbs go off!
There is a lot to be said from learning from the mistakes of others.
Good luck!

Wow, you're pretty seriously bent over that book, I'm sorry to hear that. I agree, a lot of information is repeated in multiple places, however I think it's all within context of the section you're currently reading. For instance, you can read the part about CO2, and he'll mention temperature variances. And when you read the section about temp. and humidity, he'll repeat the acceptable temps when using CO2. What I like about this format is that it's pretty safe to say you can open up one section (as needed) and read it as a stand-alone text, and it will be useful to your current situation.
I, by no means, think it's the only book you should read. I recommend reading anything you can get your hands on, however this one is very easy to understand and goes into a lot of technical and scientific detail, which I appreciate personally.
Cheers,
