Alice and the Wonder Pipe...

By Alice i mean me, Sattire. And by Wonder Pipe i mean a light bulb vaporizer i made based on information posted in a thread and on youtube by a jman character.

okay, so i had a bit of trouble with the hollowing of the light bulb but all in all- really easy. kind of fun, actually, to see it come together.

i tried it out alone. i put some weed in the bulb, i had a candle lit and held my light bulb vape over the flame, bout an inch away.

i was all excited when i saw the first few vapors. not smoke-like at all... more like steam.

so i waited a few seconds and then slowly inhaled.

the reason i labeled this blog the way i did is because i sort of lived out a scene from the movie Alice and Wonderland at this point.

the first time i exhaled... it tasted* like freaking baked beans.

these wispy little vapors pack a punch though, it hit so hard. for about a minute or two i had to just sit and chill and take slow shallow breaths. i did not cough, which i tried so hard not too, because once i start coughing it's hard to stop**.

okay, i didn't think it had too much of an effect on me because i hadn't been able to hold it in long at all. so as soon as i was ready i held the bulb over the candle again.

inhale/exhale and when i exhaled the second time i tasted* a sweet bread, like a muffin.

after my second hit i lost my composure and i started coughing. first just once. then twice. then all hardcore into a pillow.

anyway because of the coughing i hit it only once more. i think i got tamale taste* out of that last one hit.

so the scene in AIW- she needs to become small (or was it big?) so taking the advice of a talking doorknob she takes a few drinks outta a bottle and each time she takes a sip it tastes different. i remember her tasting sweet things like custard and that wasn't the case with me (baked beans, wtf?) but still, it gave me a lot to think about.

anyway- usually when i smoke i feel it in my head (it feels good in mah brain! - Pineapple Express) and when i vaped it was different. i felt it... more in my eyes? i know i didn't feel it in my head like where i usually feel it. i did feel a lot more... well maybe not energetic, but definitely less lazy than smoking. this was a new high and i think i prefer smoking but i am totally unsure so i'll probably hafta do it again.

*taste. does pot taste like anything? the smoke/vapor is in your mouth and there's a taste of some sort when you exhale but i'm not comfortable calling it "taste" because i don't taste anything else this way...so yah.

**i hate coughing so much, one little cough usually leads to a coughing fit, like 99.9% percent of the time. once i was smoking a joint with a friend, cruising in a vw beetle (the driver was sober) and joints are not my usual method of smoking. i have a single metal/bamboo pipe that i love and i'm used to that. i forget when i'm smoking a joint that it's not a one hit filled bowl, it goes on. so i hit it and passed it back. of course i hit it too hard and i felt the need to cough, but i was so reluctant to... i was denying my body the desperate need to cough and i almost passed out***.
