Marijuana Legalization Problems Created By Users

OK so it's quite obvious that we all want marijuana to be legalized...right? Although we can all agree on this...many people who are pro-marijuana don't realize they are part of the reason it isn't legal as well. It's hard enough to convince those who are not users that it is useful, and causing more problems being illegal than if it wasn't without the stupid crap that current users bring to the table. I honestly feel like most of the people who are part of the problem are also too ignorant to realize it. I see these people on this forum, other forums/websites, and in my daily life all too often.
What is it that they do wrong? They advocate and condone almost (if not all) drug use. This is a major problem for many reasons. First, most people are already hesitant to make it legal but if you are saying garbage like "we should be allowed to put anything into our bodies" and "as long as I can responsibly use [place any other drug here] it's fine!", you are shooting our arguments in the foot. You are helping them believe marijuana is a gateway drug. You are making us look like drug addicts. If this is something you are doing then YOU are partly responsible the ongoing battle AGAINST ending marijuana prohibition.
I'm not saying hide what you really believe in, but can you stfu and take it one step at a time? It angers me to see people act like all drug use is fine in moderation on MJ forums. Let's say someone who doesn't use the drug does an honest unbiased internet search to learn more about the users of this drug. Do we want them to find online communities who are peaceful, fun, and in support of medical needs....or do we want them to see us talking about how much coke we did last weekend, the best time we ever had on extacy, or the nice big bag of meth we just snagged. People on these sites and in daily life talk about it like it's no big deal. Wake up...it is.
It's also sad to see people being called hypcrites because they smoke weed, but talk against other drugs and try to convince people not to use them. By being a responsible MJ smoker and having some moral standards on drugs they are helping! I personally feel that all "other drug" talk should be removed and shunned from our online communities. Let it become a bannable offense, and stop all the nonsense. There is no way in hell all drugs will be legalized so why continue on this path? It's slowing us down in the real fight.
Now I don't think the "other drug" talk will be removed from any websites. Why? They just don't care enough to address this issue or don't agree with my view of thinking. Although this is saddening it's the truth. My goal for this blog is for at least one person to rethink the way they hold themselves online and offline. What side are you on? I know where I stand...

So many comments since I last checked!! With that said I won't address them all but will try to clear the air on a few things I saw. My view has evolved but not necessarily changed. I am still pissed that drug users continually make asses of themselves in the news, youtube, forums, and wherever else they find. I still think man-made drugs can go fuck themselves and all natural drugs should not be regulated...period. I still feel that enough money has been wasted on the drug war and too many nonviolent smokers are sitting behind bars as you read this. I also still feel that if the only reason you don't want it legalized is so you can make money of it then you are nothing more than another number in my way. If ignorance is bliss then you have enough happiness for a lifetime...congrats.
