Misinformation and ignorance
You know what really grinds my gears? No, but seriously, the multitude of misinformed posts made by uneducated cannabis users and those ignorant of the facts regarding cannabis have plagued these forums for years. On just about every thread I read through, there are multiple users attempting to force their propagated and largely erroneous beliefs onto others. You would think that after the awareness the valuable members of this forum have raised, the experience we all share, the thousands of research studies that exist in the public domain, and the human capacity to read, these forums would have better representation. What looks exceedingly bad in the eyes of the general populace is how members of the counter-culture cannot even get their facts straight -- this is detrimental in our quest for legalization or decriminalization -- whichever movement you support.
I have continually made an effort to set these misinformed posters straight in threads throughout the City, but it seems when one poster has been brought to see the light, hordes of additional ignorant posters are quick to take his or her place. It is futile, so, for the sake of not posting corrections, facts, and studies repeatedly and to no avail, I have decided to periodically release an article here on my blog in which I build up popular myths and propaganda surrounding cannabis, and systematically debunk them with objectivity, scientific fact and reason.
This blog will serve as another of the many outlets in the counter-culture community for people who want to get to the bottom of these issues and ultimately discover the truths regarding our favorite plant.
But for now, it is time to spark a bowl.
