Ph over-compensation to cure noot burn

I'm using sulfur and lime to control the ph of my girls organically. Recently I had some plants get noot burn from adding jst a bit too much fish emulsion.
Then I though, can't you just lock out the nitrogen and cure the noot burn by dropping the ph a point or two?
Then, as the plant starts to use the nitrogen and yellows up from the ph being too low, you add some hydrated lime to up the ph back to regular levels...
