It's been just over two months since I went to the Rothbury Music Festival at the Double J Ranch in lower Michigan. I've spent quite a lot of time thinking back to the whole experience, and how I almost didn't go.

AimedForDeath, Nugglord_420 and myself left in my absolutely packed-to-the-windows car, with AFD driving, myself shotgun, and Joe (Nugglord) sitting behind me in the back with probably half as much room as he would have needed to be anywhere near "comfortable."

It was shortly after 11:30pm when we hit the road, three fat joints rolled in expectation of the 8 hour trip, a thermus full of coffee for AFD, some turkey and cheese sandwhiches, a few CD's most of which my car couldn't read, and an excitement like none other for the experience we were about to partake in.

It had been said earlier in the day that we wouldn't smoke any of those joints until we got to downstate, while we were purchasing the weed from my main man, whom hooked it up with at least a 6gram bag for the price of 3.5g. He knew exactly what we were in for and wanted to help out, of course.

Of course, that didn't last, and AFD (who originated the "no smoking til downstate" rule) said "Spark up that fucking joint." We less than an hour in to the trip, we were getting high and getting very pumped. I'm sure it wasn't more than a half hour 'til we smoked the second joint, and then we knew we were going to have to spend the whole second half of the trip sober.

The reason being, we had promised ourselves we were going to smoke a joint while going over the Mackinac bridge, something I'd wanted to do for years.

We got to the bridge, gave the toll-booth lady our tokens which AFD had to get us across for free, and sparked up the J barely feet past the toll booth. It was an epic feeling and setting, blazing while 250+ feet over the water's surface, on one of the longest suspension bridges ever built... man we were high. We were still smoking the roach as we finally got off the bridge 5 miles later, but unbeknownst to us, the road pretty much goes straight in to 70MPH freeway.

There we were, smoking a roach, going about 30 miles an hour in a 70 mile an hour zone, and sure enough a fucking cop rolls by. He just drives on by, we toss what very little was left of the roach, and roll on down the road.

That hurtle over, there was nothing left to look forward to except for at least 3 or 4 hours of driving.

*Time skip*

We're finally waiting in line, still in our car, to get our wristbands and have our cars searched.

The search was weak and not worth talking about in detail... anyways, no one tells you where to go. They basically point you in "x" direction, and tell ya to go. You're on your own, gotta find your campsite with no fucking clue where you are.

We drove around for at least an hour just trying to find an empty site, and in hindside, we were no where close. We were just driving through obviously full camping fields. The only good to come of this would be that within the first 10 minutes, even while we were DRIVING (mind you we had the windows down,) at least two or three people offered us drug.

Pretty good sign of things to come.

*******

More at a later time.

Bittersweet Symphony

Well, my baby girl's hairs are just starting to turn orange, and I can see Trich's with my naked eye... Funny what 6 months and some dirt can do. The smell is still subtle, then again I smoke a pack a day, and a few joints, therefore my smell aint what it used to be. Regardless, it smells so natural and fresh... it's an aroma that cannot be copied anywhere outside of nature.

The sun is out and it's probably still seventy degrees... it's fucking October man, but the weather is nicer than I've ever seen.

I was looking at a game I used to play, specifically at my friends list. There's a two hundred person limit for the friends list, and mine was totally full. I can remember every one of those people, and actually am proud to say I can consider them all my friends. Some stick out more than others... but the amount of them that I still remain in contact with could be counted on one hand.

I wrote an email to one of them... there's a long story behind it that I won't get in to, but it got me all sad and nostalgic... especially when I actually logged in to the game and remembered that yesterday on a random playing session, I got a level I'd been saying I would get for six damn years now. I was standing in an empty part of the world, with none of my old friends on, particularly none of the ones I actually thought would be there to celebrate with me... it was really a buzz kill.

But like I said, the sun is out... I'm almost totally rid of the lingering feelings from a bad trip, and a depression. I'm smoking a bowl, and listening to Sublime... but the real reason I posted this, was simply to post the lyrics to just one song. If some of you havn't heard it, or maybe if you have... you should give it a listen. Wether the sun's out or not... it still applies.
