I am going to take advantage of the blog feature here at Grass City. I am doing this for you GC. I love it here and I think that my fellow blades are some pretty cool stoners and stonerettes. You can always expect a few things at my blog like my opinion and experiences with different strains of cannabis. Another thing is comedy. I love getting stoned and laughing my ass off to something about Mary Jane. I love her with all my heart.

Purple Ponic - Like I Said Before, Berry Cheerios

Posted 11-27-2007 at 07:49 PM by CaliCoast
So the latest dankage I've been puffing on lately is this interesting bud called Purple Ponic. I am not 100% sure of the genetics other than it's a sativa dominant hybrid. When I'm at the dispensary it is often hard to choose between so many different types of dank. I usually never know what I'm going to get however when I smelled this stuff I was sold. Besides from the nice bag appeal, modest trichomes and purple hues, the aroma of this bud is amazing. Smells very similar to Berry Cheerios or Fruity Pebbles. Despite having a very fruity aroma this bud also harbors a very pungent kick to it as well. Along with the amazing aroma, the buds are fluffy, crunchy and cured to perfection. I am starting to get the pre-blazing high already.

<o></o> As usual, I rolled a nice fat J and proceeded to get to work. The flavors and taste of the bud is almost identical to the aroma, very fruity and berry cereal like. Almost like Strawberry Cough except with more of a kick. This is another strain that tastes just as good from the start of the J to the end. <o></o>

<o></o> The buzz hit me about average, almost 3/4 of the way down the joint. Purple Ponic created a nice heady buzz that was a little mild in my opinion similar to Strawberry Cough but less potent. The buzz very anti-anxiety or paranoia, although no bud really does that to me, and very mood uplifting. The longevity was a little short in my opinion. Probably lasting about an hour or less before I found myself twisting up another joint. I also thought that the bud had a mild cough lock effect but not enough to where it would lose points because of it. <o>

Overall I would highlight the flavors and aroma of Purple Ponic over it’s buzz quality and longevity. Not to say that this wasn’t good bud, it is. Just in my humble opinion I would place this dank somewhere in the middle shelf.
