I have been t-breaking over the past little while, and have been having a bit of trouble taking time away from weed. I had started this illustration a couple months ago and since I wasn't really sleeping at night, I figured I would devote all of my spare time t-breaking into creating the most complex psychedelic piece of art I could. It took me somewhere around 120 bours in total to finish it. It was all drawn by hand with Pigma Sensei illustration pens and the original size is 40" by 32.5".

This drawing began as an illustration of a person floating in an isolation tank, experiencing the effects it can have on the way we think. Soon it progressed into something else. I've always been interested in Buddhism/Hinduism and I began to do research on chakras. I was particularly fascinated by the Crown chakra, and how it is directly linked to more abstract ways of thinking. The crown chakra has 1000 petals.

The background is a grid formed by Fibonacci-sequenced spiraling arms. There are sixteen arms going clockwise and sixteen going counterclockwise, resulting in an ever-expanding grid. I don't know if there are 1000 "petals" made by the grid I drew, but it was more meant to illustrate the concept more than anything.

I could literally go on typing for hours about everything I've put into this piece, but I'll just explain one last thing. In the second attached picture, I took a closer shot at the head. There is a quote surrounding the circular design in the person's head. It reads as follows:

"I am the master of my own domain, for my mind is my compass and the world lies within, not without."

Anyways, I won't blather anymore. I just thought I would like to share with you blades the fruits of my efforts

That. Is. Awesome.

I'm not someone who normally likes to look at or really appreciate art, but that right there is nice. Have you thought about selling it, or a copy of it?

What do you mean? Is that how long you spend making films or...? Sorry I'm a little stoned right now ahaha :P

If by CEV you mean closed-eye visual then you'd be pretty spot-on about where a lot of my inspiration comes from.

Thanks for the kind words :)
I have thought about selling prints of it. I'm currently setting up an account at Society6.com and and account with Paypal. Once I link the two I am going to try and sell prints of my art online and see how it goes. I have other drawings similar to this too.

Cool man, if you were to sell a cheapish copy of it let me know, I'd totally buy one if it was in my price range for non-necessities.

It just looks like you had to plan it out. When I paint (with crayola watercolors) whatever happens happens. There's no planning it out and the paint runs.

The only planned out part of this really was the Fibonacci sequenced background and the person floating. Everything else was done on the spot, freehand.

Sure, I'll let you know as soon as I set everything up :)

Why don't I show you? :)
Both of these were done on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of regular printer paper.

Holy cow. How much are you going to be selling the prints for? I may very well want to buy one!

i have discovered that suddenly once I started wearing makeup (foundation, concealer) to get a perfect skin tone, dressing VERY nicely, styling my hair to perfection, that i attract women. it is sad because I have to put a lot of effort into looking good, but i do look good and i meet some very attractive girls.

and like I said I PARTY WITH PAUL BANKS. i have twice. I have taken pictures with him. this was before Carlos left

OP, you have some serious talent my man! Really great representation of how powerful one's mind can truly be. Let us all know about the prints when you have that aspect up and running.

I'm sure you do, but on a side note, I'm wondering if you have any similar works that incorporate some color with the black and white? Kudos again! +rep :D

Was it drawn completely by hand, or did you use compasses and rulers?

Haha I don't know yet. Like I said, I'm trying to link a Paypal account to Society6 and sell my prints through that website but that's taking some time.

I've tried adding colour to the black/white images but it didn't turn out so well... and I don't plan on spending any more time than 120 hours on a single piece of work right now ahaha :P
