One of My Illlustrations...

So I go to the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) and i'm currently enrolled as a junior with an illustration major... i recently (as in today) just finished with my junior review, which is kinda like the deciding factor in whether or not i'd be staying at mcad to finish out my degree... i'll be finding the results in about a week! in the meantime, here is some artwork for you guys to pour overr

this one was a triptych that i did last spring, titled "Dreamer" - medium is watercolor, acrylic paint and ink...and the size is about 11x17... hope you guys enjoy!

i'll try to make some weekly post with new artwork........

I'm really diggin the social satire of it all. The fact that your character is being drowned in a paper bureaucracy is very creative. All art should have a message, yours does. well done. +rep

ya im suprised half the shit on here fuckin blows, this is slightly deep if you think.
for some reason when lookin at this i keep repeating "families bleed cuz of corporate greed" in my head....

My breakdown:
kinda seems to me like a corporate pile of shit finally being dragged down in the new millenium, after fucking over everyone during the early bush era, AIG and other CEO's are starting to drown in debt, starting to get a real taste of what theyve been doing to people by kicking them out of their houses and repo'in cars.
This is kinda like a illustration of who the recession is effecting,
like a live image of todays struggles.
and its finally the republican fucks...
and i have to add those seagulls are like the vultures of society like us lower class.
slowly finger by finger releasing them into the ocean....
ok now im really done.

just my two cents, i do graff so im all about metaphor, keep it up.
and i have to type something to truly understand what im thinking.

Nice work! Your water coloring looks perfect, your definatly gonna be staying. I have seen seniors for three years getting into art schools like the institute at Chicago lacking both skill and orginality. You got it in the bag!

I applied to MCAD actually. I'll be hearing back in a month or two.
