Creativity when your high

Well i always thought it strange, and all my friends too. Almost every time i smoke some of our favorite plant i want to draw a mushroom. It all started when i was in highschool looking at my health teachers walls(stoned). I got the inspiration from a poster somone made with a psychedelic mushroom on it, i instantly picked up a pen a drew mushrooms all over my notebook(i remember because the notebook was later sent to the dean along with me,and my pocket full of weed...) So the other day i'm with some old friends and one has a drawing of a mushroom from high school. It reminded me of some good times so i gathered up some sharpy pens and gave it a shot. So this is my latest piece of pathetic shroom artwork. please enjoy.

thanks, i have decided to start drawing more pictures, i would like to become an artist of some sort eventually.

i also love drawing mushrooms, im not so good at colouring so i kinda lay off and leave it pencil shaded. But for some reason i can draw so much better when im blazed than when im sober, example right now im trying to draw something, and i cant even come up with anything, im just drawing blanks. But when im high i can easily just start with a line and end up drawing a nicely drawn person... go figure.

It looks like you already ARE an artist "of some sort"

, right now, no need to wait for eventually to embrace the fact that you are an artist, and as a bonus, you really enjoy the creative process.

What makes someone an "artist"

the price of their art?
the feelings the art inspired in them?
the feelings inspired in those who see the art?
the mass marketability of the art?
the subject of the art?
the creativity with which the art is made?

I think its good not to let other peoples definitions of "artist" or societies definition of "artist" limit or prevent you from enjoying your creativity and creations.
