![]() Read the full review for the Sony DSC-H5 here. From what I see, it looks to be a great point and shoot to start off with. I like the SLR-like build it has to it, very classy looking. • Normal: 50cm (19.7 in) min • Macro: 2cm (0.74 in) FANTASTIC! The ISO range is much wider than what I started off with, 80-1000, as opposed to 100-400. Very nice. Here is a sample image, great bokeh with aperture as wide as 2.8. ![]() Good luck, sir!

I guess I went the opposite way when I bought my first camera. I got a fully manual Minolta SRT201 at a pawn shop, it treats me well and I got to learn the basics of photography quickly since I didn't have any automatic functions. ![]() Picture I took with it:

Now I can reply to this post.... Im with Chrysamere, Canon Digital Rebel XT (350D) w/ kit lens. Im thinking about getting a Sigma 55-200mm Normal-Telephoto for it though, any thoughts on that? Or what would be a good second lense for the same or less money? EDIT: My camera's black though.

| Reppin the A-100 set... ![]() Sony A-100, great camera, 10.2 mp, a year ago it retailed for $1000, now down to 6-7 hundred (body), voted Camera of the Year 07 (entry level D-SLR editors choice) in American Photo magizine. Highly recomended (Though I think Durchii, like many others objected to the the dual dial funtion buttons, you do get used to it over time, my only beef is with the rubber eyepiece viewfinder that forces the user to uncomfortably moosh his eye and face flush up against the back of the camera). Picture quality is outstanding though...(IMO) ![]() ![]() ![]() |
