Self Portrait: I like the composition, very interesting arrangement. I like how it looks as though you've blended the division between your hands and hair, it helps with the overall movement. I also enjoy the use of color on the top and bottom of the composition, with a nice touch in the eyes to bring unity to the piece. Overall, very well done. I really love multi-media artwork, and you do have a ton of talent

Yeah, it's really rare that when I'm doing a big piece I stick with one media.
I always mix paints. Like, acrylics and oils and stuff. It's hell on the brushes, but I do what I think works, yknow.

Great pieces. Mixed media, i like it. How long did each take?
Self portrait has a nice play with the shadow in the hands, as well as the face, bringing the depth to it.

You take any art classes, self-taught, or by other means?

The self portrait took about maybe between 4-6 hours. The other took about the same.
I'va taken a few art classes. This semester I took my first straight up drawing class that actually meant shit. Did a lot of still life and stuff that I've barely ever dabbled in before. I've been drawing all my life though. Just cartoony stuff, like this:

But every class I push to learn something different. Not just sit and do what I like doing. Like photog classes, digital media, etc. I'm sort of self taught in the manner that I draw, find something I don't like about it, and evolve from that. But I was pretty much born with a pencil in my hand. And I had really motivational family, so. Yeah. (:

Text Signatures: 4 lines normal size OR 8 lines small size and up to 90 chars per line. Font sizes above 2 are not allowed. For images in signatures: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 125 pixels tall and 20k in size.
