Here's two
ok poems', I wrote while on Adderall :
The Sounds :
All around, the sounds are overwhelming.
How can we do this.
How can we stand the cries, the screams.
What once was beauty, turned bleak.
Not a single bird sings.
The only sounds left are those of that deafen the ear.
How can we do this.
Our flesh.
Our blood.
Our Hearts.
Our Minds.
How can we do this.
Come so far.
Only to fall back.
When we fail to notice the beauty of our brothers.
Only to be blinded.
Religion.
Nationality.
Wealth.
Color.
Millions of different culture's, and tongue's.
Different shade of pelts.
But in the end we all cry for our mother's.
Those that cry in poverty, in pain, the mother's and father's, the son's and daugther's.
Implore you to change.
Put aside all the differences', lay down your arm's.
Because before you know it; you will pass.
And whatever maybe beyond our horizon's.
You will leave a corpse.
With not one kind word spoken upon it.
Promises
They promised us a country where there were no titles.
No Kings'.
No Dukes'.
No marquesses'.
No Earls'.
No Viscounts'.
No Barons.
They promised us the 'American Dream'.
And we fell.
We took the promise to heart.
It clouded our judgment.
They promised us a country were there was a separation of the unholy relationship.
Were the crippling hand wouldn't touch.
And we fell.
A land were a man could achieve prosperity.
If he worked.
His bone's.
To death.
But the land.
Was given to the few.
To break the bones.
Of the Many.
For a cheap pittance.
But the brave, fought back.
Established reform.
Direct vote.
Wages.
Children.
Suffrage.
Freedom.
But now we all face a great evil.
Expanded control.
Movement.
Property.
Person.
Speech.
No paper trail.
Never give up the fight for Equality, Freedom, and Peace.
