Yay for good books!

Right now I'm reading Reqiuem for a Dream by Hubert Selby Jr. as well as Heaven and Hell by Aldous Huxley. Both are great.

Pilgrim, your signature is by far one of the best I have seen on these forums.

What did I read today... oh yeah!

At The Mountains of Madness, H.P. Lovecraft

hp lovecraft, definitely an artist in his own sense. love alot of the books he wrote, but more his style of writing

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Best book i've read lately.... Hell Beyond The Seas (english translation) by Aage Krarup-Nielsen
it was written in 1936 and is about a deserter of the french foreign legionnaires army, when hes captures and sent to the penal colony of French Guiana where he does majorrr time for something that only made logical sense at the time. pretty crazy, basically just goes through his struggles, and living through the ordeal. crazy shit, as they were so hardcore you wouldnt belioeve.... and i mean things that you cant even imagine.

---- true story as well, which serves to make it all the more fucked up

"I hope they serve beer in hell" -Tucker Max.

If you have never heard of this/him, then you are definitely missing out. Probably the funniest book I have ever read in my life. Completely chocked full of raunchy sex, tales of drunken debauchery, and continually makes you wonder how he finds himself in these situations. Highly recommended.

He also has a website where some of his stories are (In totality) from his book. Tuckermax.com if anyone is interested.

I have read it literally 5 times cover to cover, and misc. stories many other times. A phenomenal plane/bathroom read. I literally recommend it to everyone I know.

Enjoy.

Crank Was a really good book. Bout this upscale, prissy prude girl who goes to visit her dad. She lives in Reno, he lives in Alberquerque. She get's introduced to the "monster" which is crank. It shows her struggle through out a year of her life with the monster by her side.

Given to me to read by Megan. I highly recomend it!

I'm kind of a late comer to the series but I've nearly finished Hitchhiker's. I've loved every bit of it.

Douglas Adams is a man of comic ingenious as well as sheer brilliance.

Damn Durchii, I couldn't find that at Chapters the other day, otherwise I would be reading it now. Is it any good?

Absolutely! Zinn really breaks free of the monotonous style that usually accompanies any work that is in chronological order. It's very interesting.. I could post you a copy if you like.
