I agree with you there... On the Road is one of my favorite books, and the Dharma Bums aren't bad either, but other than that I don't much like his work.

Right now, i'm reading..
THE PEOPLE LOOK LIKE FLOWERS AT LAST
by Charles Bukowski this is a posthumous book of new peoms!

Heart Of Darkness is great. I read a couple of his other short stories, very enjoyable.

Just started the revision of Einsteins book. It's called "Out of My Later Years" pretty interesting so far. It's his views on the world and certain aspects of society mixed with some of his essays explaining his theories and whatnot.

The World Without Us, by Alan Weisman
It's one of the best books I have read in a long time. It's about what would happen to the earth if mankind just up and disappeared. It's a good book to smoke a biddy, read half a chapter, then just fade off into dreamland.

I'm re-reading The Emperor Wears No Clothes, by Jack Herer, this book is mandatory reading for any self respecting toker. If you don't know what it's about you have most likely been in a cave. It's about the prohibition of marijuana, and this guy that was paid by the gov. and DuPont to create propaganda about "hemp" so that petroleum based fibers could take over the market that weed had cornered. This guy was the dude who started the DEA, Drug Ignorance Agency. On a side note, I have met kids that know what Jack Herer weed is but had no clue why it was called that or that it was even a real person. Parents should really start getting involved. My mom gave me this book when i was 13 and told me "this is what the government can do"

Been reading a little at a time "The Rise to Globalism" by Stephen E. Ambrose for about a yr. now. It is full of cool little factoids, but about the driest book you'll ever read.
