No i haven't, but i'll be sure to pick it up next time I head out to a book store.

Anyone ever read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card?

It's an extremely good read even if you're not really into sci-fi books.

I already know these books are going to be good, can't wait to read them

And i'm reading The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde, so far pretty good, the author has a pretty good imagination and I like it.
I just had to bump this because the book Foop! is where I got my name! I thought I was the only one who had ever read this book. Damn great book.

I just got finished reading a zombie book called The Dead Sea (i love zombie books. Can't get enough. It's sad that there aren't more out there...)

And after I look through Homer's the Odyssey I'm gonna pick up a book called UnLondon. Excited.

Anyone read 100 Young Americans? That book is the shit.

Around 70 pages in today, and I really enjoy it so far.
Next book on my list is The Naked Lunch, if I can find a copy within the nexty couple of days.

My sister has a copy of the Naked Lunch. I know that doesn't help much, but we should start at the same time. Hehe, GrassCity Book Club ftw!

Great book. I highly suggest reading it.
Also, if you liked this, read "God Bless You, Doctor Kevorkian", which is also by Vonnegut.

Heh, well, i'll let you know when I get a copy haha!

As for a GC bookclub, I think that would be an amzing idea, and I think a host of people would jump on board from this community. Maybe we should start a new thread, with a poll and some questions relating to a GC Book Club!

As for currently reading: Zadig, by Candide. A short little tale, that I'll finish tonight.

Read everything he ever wrote (I think) (RIP btw). I love it all, but "Harrison Bergeron" is a personal favorite.

The latest book I read was this thread.

Wow, a lot of stuff here I have read, and a lot I haven't. But now, thanks to you all, I got some good suggestions on some stuff to pick up. ( Yes, I read all 14 or 15 pages of this thread) Now, I mostly read what I call 'mind rot'. Books that don't teach me anything, don't enlighten me any. Here the last few years, I basically just want a good easy read that'll 'take me away'.

If your into a dungeons & dragons kinda thing, check out the Dragonlance Chronicles. I read 'em in H.S. and loved them, picked them up a couple months ago and re-read them, still an awesome read. I really like Dean Koontz too. I have most of his books up to the last 4 or 5. My favorite of his is Midnight. I guess the most informative book I've read lately is 'Biggest Brother : The Life of Major Dick Winters, The Man Who Led the Band of Brothers' The movie/miniseries was my favorite war pic ever. And I wanted to learn a little more about the man.
