drug dogs and tobacco

    Might sound stupid, but would tobacco be picked up or recognized by a drug dog?

    I just need a def answer, please don't hate.

    Yes the dog would smell it but it wouldn't set him off or anything. Even if, it's not ilegal in the first palce so it doesn't really matter.

    well, i actually need to know for my senior class trip, the school has dogs come in, and tobacco, although i know it's not illegal, is against my school's policies. and my school would do anything to kick me off this trip.

    that's why i needed to know, so stop being an asshole.
