how do you make hash from ashes?

someone mentioned saving the ashes to make hash. (I don't smoke until all the green is gone, because resmoking ashes gives me migraines.

So, what do I do with my presmoked ash/weed to make it into hash? I can't find any instructions.

If you mean using charred weed? I dont think the hash would be possible because ash is very fine and would slip through with the thc and you would have a black mess. Just a guess.

Unfortunately, you were misinformed, you can't make hash from your smoked ashes.

They may have been referring to partially vaporized weed, but even then, I'd just as soon use actual bud and/or trimmings unless that is the only thing available to you.

Well, ashes themselves won't work, but you CAN make a crude product from your smoked leavings.

Regardless of weather you smoked green or vaped weed in your bong/pipe, when you go to scrape it out there's going to be a lot of ash and some chunky bits from the side of the bowl that didnt quite burn.

You can save those up (say, in a coffee cup or jar). After you get a load of these crumblies saved up, you're gonna want to get rid of as much ash as possible. You can do that by putting these crumbled up bits in a fine mesh (like a tea strainer) and shaking them vigorously over your toilet or a sink. Throw a coin into the stainer you're using to knock things around a bit.

You're then left with some partial burned, pretty nasty looking stuff. (yes, it's smokable, but it's not great) Throw that into a jar with some Iso or acetone, shake it up, and pour the liquid through a strainer into a pyrex baking dish. Point a fan at it, and come back when all of the solvent and water have evaporated, and you can scrape up some black and nasty resin.

It smokes, and itll get you high, but YUCK. Nasty stuff, tastes like rancid death, and your lungs will NOT thank you.

You can also use this to add to whatever other solvent washes you're doing... throw your stems in with the crumblies, wash all your pieces with solvent (iso or acetone), and combine all of your strained liquids and vape it all off in one go.

Its pretty gross, but if you're broke and need to get high... or if you're just a big believer in recycling, then it works.

Oh, and try to keep seeds out of it. Seeds release a lot of oil, and it makes the final product a lot more oily than like a resin.
