How does my ounce look? Mold?

Picked up this nice OUNCE of fire a couple weeks ago...

The guy gave me a sample of it first - and it was sooo tasty I went ahead and got an oz from him for $340.

Heres the thing... when I first got it it seemed cured properly (the stems snap easily) and I have been storing it since day one in a vacuum sealed Bean Vac which keeps it constantly 100% air-free and away from light. I have been storing it at room temp 76 deg. At first it was real smooth and smelled really good. After about 2 weeks it has become more harsh and the smell has slightly become unpleasant... I vape with a Volcano Digit. So the harshness was real apparent - it seemed like it changed overnight. Is it just dry?

I also had a couple of questions about it since the guy didn't know much about it (other than its good sh*t) even though it says he gets it directly from the grower himself.

So I had a couple questions for you seasoned tokers...

1) can u identify it?
2) is that mold? spider mite webs? or is it normal? (i put a red circle in the pics below)

well it does look a little moldy but hows it smoke? if it gets you high and you like it i dont think its the end of the world

buy in smaller amounts next time..

For the fear of mold. I only ever buy an 8th pr a quarter at a time.
I would never want mine to gain mold. Id cry if i spent $340 and because of mold i cant smoke it,

Take it back and tell him that you looked at it and its moldy. Tell him to give you your money back, or another ounce...

C'mon man, research a little before you make claims that could effect someone else negatively. Smoking moldy weed can lead to lung infections that can be potentially deadly, i wouldn't suggest smoking anymore of that bud.

ahahahahahaha that would be the first dealer I've ever heard of doing refunds. Once you buy it, its your forever dude. Could have very well been that the weed wasn't cured or dried all the way when you sealed it.


Best thing to do at this point is make some hash.

Smell indicates mold but hard to say from those pics.
You need to "Burp" your weed every so often. Open it's container for a minute then seal it back up.
Do this a couple times a week. It rehydrates and condensates while storing.

Refunds? lmao never heard of that once a deal is done its done. My suggestion next time u buy bud carefully examine it before you give the dealer the cash.
