highly resinious weed maybe? If the weed produces a lot of resin when burned, it could become sticky and weird. After you smoke a lot, try and scrape the black crap out of your glass bowls. It's also dark and sticky.. It's probably just dense and produces a lot of resin. Recently picked some up like that at my local dispensary. They called it "hashplant". It was definitely an exciting high and more of the trip out high than the relax high.
