for joints/blunts/bongs/pipes/cigs - you should suck in while you light then it will burn for you lol i had that same problem when i first started didnt even know how to toke att

suck in while you light it. because it brings the flame much closer to the weed.

trust me, it will work. start inhaling right when you light it and the flame will get sucked into the weed

Aint nothing to be embarrassed about, youll figure it out in time. If the people you smoke with make an effort to point out how new you are to smoking, your better off smoking with someone else and without them.

maybe buy a lighter a practice? haha not sure what th eproblem is but having someone light it for you looks pretty gay and I'm sure is embrassing for you which would hurt your experience.. I had to do it for one friend before...

I have this same exact problem when I lit my first joint (three days ago). It ended up burning really uneven almost ruining the experience. When you light the end(the twisted part) are you suppose to inhale so the flame spreads? Also, when I would go to relight it it wouldnt light and I ended up charring the weed and the joint.
